What I liked the most was the customer support available to me. They were knowledgeable and friendly

I would like the JE number to be displayed more often in their reports/audit trail

Implementation and templates provided made the process straight forward. Because it is integrated with SaleForce, we can use the data loader to accomplish mass entries as needed. The system is fairly intuitive in nature.

Our fiscal year ends in November and when we export financial reports, it always mislabels the months to a calendar year. Having to manually post transactions wastes time. There is not a lot of ability to customize financial reports. It is next to impossible to speak to someone live on the Support Team. The ability to talk to someone live about customer service and payment issues does not exist.

The integration with SF and our TMS is great, its fantastic to have all order information linked to the accounting objects. Reporting is great as well, that is mostly a SF feature.

The inability to send ACH payments out of the box was a huge piece for us. I was referred to Check21 which was ridiculously expensive. Also cash application takes too long if you have a customer that has x number of invoices. Some of our larger accounts have more than 2000 invoices open at a given time. Paging through screens takes a very long time. Seems like we have outgrown AS's sweet spot of transactions.

In addition daily billing/payable posting takes a long time, (exceeding lines). Bank rec gets split into multiple recs due to 4k item limit.

The Accounting Seed knowledgebase is very good if you like to "dig" for solutions. It's not always easy to find, but most answers are there.

Antiquated knowledgebase materials are not always removed so you have to sort through old stuff to find the solutions for the newest version of the software.

This software has very robust capabilities. It's good for businesses that have complex operations. It works very seamlessly with Salesforce.

Their customer support could be better. I wish I had a dedicated point of contact when I have questions. I also wish I could pick up the phone and talk to a person instead of having to create a case and wait to get emailed back days later.

We chose accounting seed because it integrates with Salesforce and it was the only Accounting software available at the time that could fully integrate within our platform. We also have a high number of credit card transactions that we have to reconcile each month and liked the Bank Direct Connect functionality.

There were some limitations within the software, but if feel with each update, the Accounting Seed team works to offer updates and solutions to key issues.

I like that it's cloud based and can be accessed from anywhere.

The reporting features could be better, having the ability to customize reports with ease, not as "intuitive" as I had hoped, but gets the job done.

I appreciate the free Documentation on explaining different accounting concepts. I also appreciated the original CEO's music video to help promote.

We switched to Accounting Seed after having a terrible time trying to setup Sage and they made the process easy and efficient.

Then we moved another company of ours to Accounting Seed which uses the ERP features which have worked well.

I don't like the process to login to the support portal and put in support tickets. You used to be able to put tickets in via email. But, they took that away. Now you have to login to the support portal, which very annoyingly does not allow you to hit enter to login. and then create a ticket. You receive email updates on tickets, but you can't reply from the email. You have to log back into the support portal for each reply.

Seems to be a cheap way to reduce support tickets.

Customization capability, supported by excellent documentation, and able to user all of the native SalesForce platform capabilities, such as approval processes, automatic field updates, workflows, etc.

The uploading of budgets is too complex. Instead of uploading an Excel with GL entries as rows and periods as columns, the upload must be after the creation of a pivot table in Excel.

Salesforce automation is great and they respond quickly to any issues.

As anything in the Salesforce universe, it feels like we are not taking advantage of all the capabilities of the software.

Integrated with our business processes easily; Manufacturing setup in Accounting Seed was fairly easy as Manufactured Goods come as a core component of the Product features. Bank Connect makes it easy for A/P and A/R to reconcile and manage their divisions. In general, the fact that we can do Accounting, Sales, and Manufacturing on a single platform has saved us countless $$$ and time.

Lots of unit test failures in the Apex. Opening/Closing Accounting Periods takes forever, even with minimal transactions, due to poorly optimized code.

Ease of use and customization to meet our needs

Troublesome to transition over from Xero.

The control features in Accounting Seed has made TQM a must for us. It is easy to use

Reporting features should be improved - sometimes I am confused as to what "type of amount" - ledger amount, report amount, converted, etc to use. At other times you need to pay a lot of attention so as not to report negative values as positives.
Training on the use of the app should not be limited to what they currently have in Accounting Seed University/knowledge based articles - it should be repackaged and broadened to include all aspects of the software (including financial cubes and how they are used)

Accounting seed is a very user friendly software

It would be nice to have the ability to have a 13th month for accounting

Over the past 8 years, our Company has grown substantially. We are in Logistics and every record is in Salesforce / Revenova. We need a Platform that worked with these Systems and choosing Accounting Seed to bring everything together for Our Financials was a no-brainer.

Support is difficult to come by sometimes.

I had never heard of Accounting Seed until October 2021. I was also new to Salesforece at that time. Accounting Seed integrates so well with Salesforce that I didn't even realize I was using 2 different platforms at first. Additionally it's highly customizeable but even works well when it's fresh "out of the box". I've even worked with ERP's that use Salesforce and have their own Accounting tools and Accounting Seed is easily integrated with the ERP.

The biggest thing our client's have confusion on is the Bank Direct Connect and Bank Reconciliation process. BDC is there to help make reconciliations easier, however, many believe that they must be able to match up all BDC records in order for reconciliations to work.

I find that this product sits so well with in Salesforce which makes life easier and ensures our business has a 360-degree view of the business in one place and the information is up to date to the millisecond.

Documentation for releases/functionality, I sometimes I feel that the documentation has a lot of words that don't say very much or don't actually say anything.

The reports feature is highly customizable and flexible to create the data report exactly as you need it.

The search feature in Lighting is cumbersome; selection check boxes are way too tiny; spreading out data rows across the whole page make reading reports difficult, and when screen is shrunk the data cuts off.

Completely integrated Salesforce accounting software including quote to invoice, inventory, sales orders, gl, etc. Robust native Salesforce solution.

Can be excessive button clicks at times for simple tasks. Requires a fair bit of optimization and process creation to increase efficiency.

The greatest PRO that Accounting Seed offered is the ease of communication with FieldFX, which is our operating system.

The biggest CON I can see would be more of a suggestion, which is there is no credit card reconcillation application within Accounting Seed. If they added that, it would make life a little more easy.

Easy to customize a lot of the features and functionality based on your business use case.

Usability is something challenging and it makes it harder to find what you are looking for.

Accounts Payable and Journal entries and Financial reports

Customisation for the currency format is limited only shows dollar sign

It comes pre-packaged with helpful pages that are formatted. Recurring Billings is the most valuable feature that we rely on

Some basic features that you'd expect that are available in Quickbooks, for example, were not available in Accounting Seed

It’s built on Salesforce so you are stuck paying for the Salesforce license for every accounting employee.

It's integration with SF accounts. Software is on the cloud.

Can't post cash over the invoice amount to an invoice, when the client overpays that invoice. Reports are not good.
