In summary, ManageEngine Endpoint Central can be a recommended solution for organizations seeking a comprehensive, cost-effective, and scalable platform for endpoint management. However, it's essential to carefully assess the organization's specific requirements, budget constraints, and readiness for implementation before making a recommendation.

Pros

ManageEngine Endpoint Central is a robust endpoint management solution designed to streamline IT operations, enhance security, and optimize endpoint performance across organizations of all sizes.

The platform leverages automation to streamline routine tasks such as patch deployment, software updates, and asset tracking. By automating these processes, Endpoint Central helps IT teams save time, reduce manual errors, and improve overall efficiency.

Overall, ManageEngine Endpoint Central is a comprehensive and user-friendly solution that addresses the diverse needs of modern IT environments, empowering organizations to efficiently manage and secure their endpoints while enhancing overall productivity and reliability.

Cons

While ManageEngine products are known for their affordability compared to some enterprise solutions, the cost of Endpoint Central may still be prohibitive for smaller organizations, especially when considering additional modules or add-ons.

ManageEngine provides comprehensive documentation and support, but some users may encounter challenges in accessing timely assistance or finding solutions to specific issues, like deploying the software across your network.

Support is poor. They call back late at night when you have a ticket. Major problems understanding them and they raise prices after they give you a quote and you send a PO.

Pros

It is fair. Also a requirement. If you have other products, they work together.

Cons

They changed licensing after giving a quote and us sending a purchase order. They then turned it off even though we sent the PO two weeks prior. All they will say is we have to call them. We have major problems understanding them so the call is no good.

Overall it's been fantastic. Deploying software and managing MDM is extremely easy and our devices management is so automated at this point we barely need to touch them. Having nearly anything we'd need for device management and support in a single package has been great. For the number of devices we have and the solutions it solves, EC is well priced and a really great value as well.

Pros

The WIDE array of functionality that Endpoint central has is amazing. We run our helpdesk almost exclusively on it. It's almost too much at times, but it's fairly intuitive and really easy to use on a day-to-day basis.

Cons

Some on the licensing is a little strange. It's not a show stopper, but did take us a bit to figure out what components are under what tier and how licenses are handled per-device/technician.

Overall things are going very well so far. We are in the process of expanding the rollout to more and more of our devices.

Pros

The tool is extremely comprehensive with an impressive amount of features. The MacOS and Linux support in addition to Windows makes it a great solution for our needs. The Manage Engine team has been extremely helpful and supportive from the very start.

Cons

The large amount of features can mean there is a bit of a learning curve to finding your way around the control portal.

Easy to use, easy to setup, would recommend migrating over to the software as quickly as you can.

Pros

I have used many remote management software, but by far this is the best! Its easy to install, manage, setup patching, MDM, it integrates with our JIRA service board, allows for phone MDM not just PC and Mac. I know I have just scratched the surface, but I am loving this solution.

Cons

The paging could be better, the only thing I dont like is when I click on something in Agents, and it takes me to another page in a subgroup, could be a tad more self-contained at times.

I'm using it for:
- Providing reports on the company's equipment, installed software, etc;
- Remote assistance to employees using internal functions of the platform;
- Supports endpoint security through the ability to install security patches;
- Remote program update.

Pros

- We like that this product gives us large set of feqtures to manage corporate devices such as application deployment, security management, creating reports and remote troubleshooting;

- Support for all popular using operating systems: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android;

- The platform can automate security patching tasks and enforces security policies, simplifying the work of administrators and improving device security;

- Our Information Security Group is very satisfied of your product because of big abmount of usefull reprots, that give them information about infrastructure condition;

- Available Cloud solution, because this product has cloud solution it's easier to maintain and deploy it.

Cons

- Integration with a company's existing IT infrastructure and third-party applications is a complex task that requires additional planning and customization;

- Performance issues when dealing with a large number of endpoints;

- Some features don't work the way we expect them to;

- Some instructions are not up to date, which leads to spending additional time for learning how to use powerful features;

- Service has difficulties in recognizing new devices. There is not enough information about the device owner at the approval stage of a new agent installation. And we would like to get an email notification of such an event.

Its been great so far as we are trying to find a way to keep our remote teams secure and supported without being overbearing.

Pros

The plethora of capabilities that are included with the cost. For the most part, it does everything well and is easy to understand.

Cons

One major ability we would like to consolidate is Remote Control/Access. This tool has it, and its a B+ level tool. It seems to struggle with slower internet connections (some remote workers have a slower speed), and its ability to show what computers are actually live/sleep/shutdown is not as good as Teamviewer (it takes 30seconds to a minute for it to update in the control center, while Teamviewer was instant).

My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been largely positive, particularly in how it simplifies the complex task of managing a diverse IT environment. It is also a popular tool, so the learning curve is very advantageous for an IT career.

Pros

Endpoint Central has been a game-changer for our IT management needs. Its unified endpoint management capabilities allow us to seamlessly manage a diverse array of devices across multiple operating systems from a single console. The automation features, particularly for patch management and software deployment, have significantly reduced our manual workload and improved our overall efficiency. The remote-control functionality is incredibly responsive, making troubleshooting a breeze. Endpoint Central has truly enhanced our ability to secure and manage our IT environment, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Cons

The only downside to me is the Endpoint Central upgrade process. Rather than a simple GUI drag and drop process (and a few clicks), you will need to read a documentation to upgrade. Since the upgrades are not frequent, you tend to forget the process each time.
