An unexpected benefit is that by using Clockify, I am getting better at estimating future tasks & projects. I can review how long something took me the last time I did it and use data to base my project estimate on. Clockify helps me from over/under estimating when bidding a project.

-Can forget to turn it off (operator error! Clockify will notify you if it's running for an unusual amount of time)

What I love about Clockify is the ease of tracking time, and how you can see the full active details of how long you've been working down to the second. Other platforms I've used that worked similarly to Clockify like Harvest, do not have that feature. I also love that for each project, you can choose different colors. This really helped me when tracking time for individual clients.

There were some glitches in the time clock, and an inaccurate time was recorded. But other than that, I have not had substantial issues with Clockify.

It's great for keeping track of billable hours or just keeping track of how long certain tasks take. There's a super handy chrome extension that makes it really easy to start time tracking and it's just generally a great piece of software.

The reporting wasn't as helpful as I would like. There are limited ways of viewing the information and tracking and it would be nice to have more control over how you view the data.

I appreciate how much organization it offers, even without moving to the paid version. Color coding, tons of projects, tasks within projects, options to make each individual project billable or not... It's so helpful since I track time for my own projects as well as projects done for other clients, and I can cleanly separate out things when pulling reports. I'm a big fan!

It was a little difficult to update my information when one of my clients upped my pay rate. I had to individually change the information for each of the times I'd already clocked, but I get that it's what happens when you don't upgrade to the paid version. Not too big of a deal.

While Clockify is highly functional, there are occasional limitations in the free version when it comes to advanced features like project management and budgeting. Some of the integrations could be smoother, and I’ve encountered minor delays in syncing data at times. Also, the mobile app, while handy, can sometimes be a bit less responsive than the desktop version.

Many things! But the most... probably the tagging features to be able to assign jobs and clients and easily pull out reports to track the different tags.

I really can't think of anything but if I had to say something, I'd like some more color tag options.

I've been using Clockify for over two years to track my time on implementation projects each day. I love that I can set up my client list and jump easily from one account to another with just a couple of clicks. I also love the ability to track notes for each segment to track what I'm working on during that period.

I push my weekly time sheet to Excel (love this) but then I have to add a column and multiply the time entries by 24 to get a format that I can enter into my employer's time sheet. Not sure if the full version would require the same or not.

I love how easy it is to record my hours on different projects for different clients. And I love how easy it is to edit those hours if I make a mistake or forget to end when auto-recording hours.

I don't really have any "cons". What I would loved is an added feature to be able to flag time as "already billed", and then run a report for billable unbilled hours and billable billed hours. If this is already possible and I'm missing something please let me know!

- the app works great on my Android phone and on my computer
- it's user-friendly, easy to understand at a glance, and there are multiple ways you can track time
- it's really easy to add new clients and there is space to add as much/as little detail as you need
- we've created different templates for the different types of clients we work with, and they are easy to edit when changes are needed
- entries can be billable and non-billable
- I can add basic details first and edit details later (I often make entries on the fly)
- we work on files over long time periods, so the different reporting functions are very valuable when we submit hours for billing
- you get a reminder if you leave a timer running
- the support folks are efficient and very helpful
*the app really only keeps getter better over time!

I don't actually have any complaints about the app.

What I liked least about Clockify is that manually adding time entries can be a bit tedious, especially when trying to log past activities.

I am a freelancer paying for the lowest personal tier of Clockify. The time tracking and invoicing features are why I subscribe to the platform; they're very simple and easy to use and save me a significant number of hours when billing clients.

The time tracker is really easy to set up, and it will remind you if you're logging a lot of hours on the same project and probably just forgot to turn your timer off. I can easily sync between using the mobile and browser apps. There is plenty of detail in customizing the time tracking details, such as adding clients, projects, hourly rates, and individual tasks within projects. This also means you can get helpful reports that break down your weekly or daily hours into graphs which can be filtered.

The invoicing feature is the main reason that I pay for Clockify, and it's invaluable. Pulling all the hours from a certain client's project over a specific time range is very easy. I also appreciate that I can customize how the hours are summarized on the invoice, whether by date, project, or description. The app will automatically avoid double-billing and if you have already invoiced for hours on a particular day, those hours will not show up on the next invoice, even if you make a mistake and select the same day to be part of the invoice.

The invoicing feature, though simple, has probably saved me dozens of hours over the last two years, and it's well worth the minimal cost for the lowest-tier plan. And yes, the price is definitely worth noting as it's very reasonable for the functionality I receive and the number of hours I've saved. When I go through a period of cutting down on bills and subscriptions, Clockify never gets cut.

There are definitely a few features from the higher-tier plans that it would be nice to have on the basic one. There are few tools for planning out a job and budgeting, and the invoice form is not very customizable. There's no way to add an item to an invoice as a lump sum rather than as an hourly cost, so if I am charging a fixed price of $600 for a project I have to fill in the "rate" box with "$600" and add "1" to the hours box. But this isn't that hard to deal with. The inability to edit an invoice after I have recorded a payment has also caused me some trouble. I also find that clients have a hard time finding invoices when Clockify sends them via the mail client, but this is fairly easily fixed by downloading the invoice and manually sending it to the client. Overall there are some details that make working with Clockify harder, but none of them are a deal-breaker for me. They might be for people working on more complex projects or larger organizations, but the higher tiers of the plan might offset that with other tools.

One downside of Clockify is that the free version has some limitations, especially when it comes to advanced features like more detailed reporting and integrations. However, despite these restrictions, the free version is still incredibly useful for tracking time and managing projects efficiently. It provides all the core features needed for most tasks, and the limitations can be worked around with some creativity or by upgrading to a paid plan if necessary.

There is no doubt that compared to other competitors, I consider that this platform has very fair prices for the needs that I need to cover within my company. The mobile application works very well to be able to monitor the staff at any time and see the progress of the different projects managed. The reports are very detailed, we can even see the price per hour individually, so it is very feasible when it comes to making metrics and determining if the price of the work is feasible in relation to the performance of each employee. I cannot complain about the user interface because I found it very comfortable from the first use, even its implementation has been very fast and efficient, so it did not take long to start applying this platform to the work environment.

Despite the efficiency of this platform, I cannot believe that the technical support is not the same when I have a problem. The response time is very long and the solutions are vague, practically most of the time they are internal problems of Clockify that must be resolved by the development team of this platform. Therefore, I have to wait for updates where these errors are corrected, causing me to lose control over the hours worked by employees.

It's ability to acurately track my daily activity across multiple jobs. I'm an architect working in a small team with many projects and as such, I need to jump between tasks to address things as they come in. The reporting and ability to accurately bill clients is our biggest reason for using Clockify.

I have been unable to get on with the mobile and desktop apps. My main interface is through the web tracker. The interface on mobile is clunky and as we require projects to be assigned (to log time) it can cause bad habits when on mobile.
