Notion is a useful tool if you have the time to learn how it works. It was not user friendly, and it was left us frustrated on more than one occasion.
Pros
I liked being able to leave notes write on the document. It always notified us when someone else made changes or added to the project. It was an easy way to keep everyone on the same page.
Cons
Notion was not very user friendly. I feel like it took our team a while to figure out how to effectively use the program.

Digital Organization at its Finest!
Reviewed on 18/11/2024

I've been looking for ways to improve my organizational skills. Most of my life I've had a tendency to allow clutter in my spaces, physically, mentally and yes- even digitally. Notion is helping me organize all of this clutter and find a system that truly works for me, and for that I am SO grateful!
As I'm getting older (38 currently), I've become more aware of how important it is to simplify and organize our spaces.
In comes Notion: my solution to stacks of physical notebooks, dozens of desktop sticky notes on my computer, etc. Notion has made it SO simple for me to organize my thoughts, my school work (as a non-traditional bachelors student in my late 30s, Notion has helped me in tremendously!!!), my blog writing, my content creation, recipes, family schedules, and so much more. Notion.so, thank you for playing a part in improving my life, I love you! lol
Pros
I have so many favorite Notion Features! I will try to list them all. Some things I love: The templates - you can purchase templates or find some for free. (You can also learn to create your own templates. I am not that advanced yet, but one day when I have time I'd love to learn more). I absolutely LOOOOVE the search feature and utilize it pretty much daily (multiple times a day even). This saves SO much time. Think about it: with a physical notebook, you have to scan the pages to find specific information (when studying, looking for a specific recipe you’ve written down, etc) but with Notion? Just use the search bar to search a phrase, term, whatever you're looking for, and bam: there it is!!
I could go on and on about all of the features I love about Notion, but I'll include a list of the ways I use it daily: daily journaling with the built-in journal feature (I customized it to my preference), checklists (to help me organize daily, weekly, monthly tasks), the Pomodoro Technique template is awesome (set a timer and really focus on each task at hand!); I regularly use the "Toggle" feature so that my pages aren't too terribly long, I can open the toggle to see more information. I absolutely LOVE that you can embed YouTube Videos, webpages, PDFs, images and more right into Notion! This has helped me organize things so well! I love the "Reading" List! You can add books you'd like to read, you're currently reading, rate the book and include tons of info. I've taken it a step further an added my e-books, chapter summaries, etc to keep all of my book information together and easily assessible for quick refreshers at any time! I could honestly go on all day about all of the amazing, helpful, and time-saving features within Notion.
Cons
I honestly cannot identify much that I like least about Notion. So far I am loving each feature. As with anything, some things may take time to practice and figure out (an example is creating my own templates using formulas etc to meet specific need, but I'll work on that later when time allows). Overall, Notion is VERY intuitive and easy to use.

It is changing the way I organize my life. I used it to organize my wedding, logging everything from vendor contacts to the guest list, and it saved me untold hours. At work, it’s become my collaboration cockpit. An one-stop shop where I replace several tools like Trello and Evernote.
Pros
Notion allows me to build my own workspace that totally fits my needs. For example, I created a project management dashboard with linked databases, task trackers and meeting notes to help my team stay organized around a high-stakes product launch. On top of that, its ability to embed files, videos, and even other apps makes it extremely versatile.
Cons
Although it is powerful, but it can be overwhelming at first. It took me a couple of days to get validation of complex databases and relational properties down. There is also very limited offline functionality, which became a small headache on a flight where I had notes I wanted access to.

I use Notion for business management and to handle the business information of one of my most valued clients. While it is almost unlimited in its functionality, when you hit one of those limits, it can be felt. In particular there are mission critical plug-ins (Notion Calendar) that work well on a web browser but -- oddly -- aren't compatible with their own desktop software.
When it's good, Notion is very, very good. But it does have its limits.
Pros
Ease of use and cross-compatibility with other software like Asana, etc.
Cons
While the developers seem responsive to their users needs, non-critical but seemingly major items can take forever to be resolved

Notion as a Tool for Project Planning and Social Media Content Strategy

I’m extremely pleasantly surprised by how many features Notion offers, even in its free version. Previously, my work tasks and tracking their progress were scattered across different places. Now, I can keep everything in one place and monitor the progress of various tasks within a single app. With Notion, my workflow is now clearer, and things are more under control. Overall, it’s a very flexible application that adapts to a wide range of needs.
Pros
I started using Notion because I needed to organize my work tasks better. Soon, I realized that Notion allows me to plan my content strategy and social media calendar with extreme ease and clarity. The biggest benefit has been the ability to save inspirational material from around the internet without consuming storage space on my computer or phone. I’ve created tables and a calendar where I can track the progress of each of my projects.
Cons
Alongside Notion, I started using the Notion calendar, which can also sync with Google Calendar, for example. This calendar is, of course, synchronized with the project management table I created in Notion. This feature has also been extremely helpful. However, I would appreciate the ability to customize the calendar’s color scheme (it’s currently just gray), so that different events and reminders would stand out more clearly.

Generally I really like Notion to collect things I am going to use many times.
I keep there my know-how, notes about my customers (elastic templates are very useful), ideas and recipes. Notion is especially good with recipes kind of stuff, sort by different categories :D
This is also, of course, very useful notebook. Mobile app works well, however iPad app has a tendency to freeze (maybe because my iPad is not a very new device).
Most of useful features is free and Notion is a well-known app with a stable position on the market, so it is really convenient to use - safely.
Worth mentioning is also a huge community around Notion. You can easily find plenty of templates (free or premium) which help you using Notion the way you need without spending time for projecting your own solutions.
Pros
I absolutely adore the whole database philosophy which allows me to collect data about things I own, things I know, ideas and other things I like to have in one place. The best thing is that I can nest any database (or a piece of it) everywhere I want.
Cons
There are two things I do not enjoy. Time management could be improved, more into Asana/Clickup philosophy. Since it does not work this way, I use other app to manage my tasks even though I thought Notion could be one-in-all solution.
The other things is the impossibility to make notes unhierarchical, which I truly like. But well, Notion way of working is deeply hierarchical.

It's great. I use it for so many things. The customer support is really good if you get stuck on anything and they seem to be adding new features that make it even more of a valuable tool.
Pros
It is fantastic for a whole bunch of different uses. It can work as a project management tool, a wiki, database, notetaker app, calendar, reading list, spreadsheet - and a lot more. It's really versatile which makes it a great product that reduces the number of other tools you need.
Cons
It's a bit clunky if you're using it for client work. As in someone who won't have a premium subscription as you have to share each individual page with them separately. But there are work arounds for that.

Overwhelmingly Positive. Notion is a highly functional and adaptable tool that has helped me organize nearly every aspect of my life, both personally and professionally. I quickly got the hang of its structure and found it to be incredibly efficient for managing everything from detailed project plans to casual note-taking. The constant updates and improvements also show that the platform is actively evolving. When I realized the potential to not only work collaboratively, but to easily create and even publish pages publicly just like web pages, I knew I'd never need another solution. I would highly recommend Notion to anyone looking for a comprehensive, customizable, and collaborative solution for organizing their digital world.
Pros
What I like most about Notion is its incredible flexibility and versatility. Whether I’m organizing notes, managing projects, creating databases, or even drafting documents, Notion handles it all seamlessly in one platform. The ability to customize workspaces with templates, embeds, and links makes it a powerful tool for both personal and professional use. I particularly love how I can build a fully personalized system tailored to my specific needs, whether it’s for task management, tracking goals, or simply jotting down ideas. The collaborative features are also a standout, allowing teams to easily share and edit content in real-time, making it a fantastic choice for group projects.
Cons
While I have found the platform to be very useful right out of the box, some people who I've shared notes with seemed to have trouble getting the hang of it. So, some users might find the interface overwhelming due to the sheer number of options and layouts available.

I like Notion. I think there's a lot of potential there. I have slowed down my use of it as it's not quite there for my needs but as they continue building out the ecosystem, I may come back to using it as my primary workspace for managing my creative work.
Pros
I work in a creative field and I like being able to keep all of my writing and project notes in one area. I like the ability to write in markdown so I can keep headings, text, lists and everything else in the document and quickly write it without having to go search through menus for the correct selection. I've used a little bit of the project management functionality as well and that can be convenient to stay within the same platform rather than switching back and forth.
Cons
The project management tools are ok but not as straightforward as I would like. Other PM tools like Monday.com, Asana or Clickup have more robust project management capabilities and I've found myself drifting back to them rather than spend the time to learn how to build out Notion to fit what I want it to do.
I get the philosophy of Notion is that you can build it to do whatever you need it to do but I don't really have time for that. Nor do I have the desire to learn how to build those systems within Notion. I just need something that works so I can get my work done more efficiently. It's sometimes easier to go find a pre-built tool than figure out how to modify one in Notion.

My bug is:
I have 2 databases and 1 column to make some "Relation" between them. It was working perfectly before but some day Notion made some update and since this day, In my "Relation" column, it does not suggest anymore the datas that I have in another table.
I reported this issue and the support team ignores this.
Notion has a lot of limited features for FREE accounts like automations, file upload limit or inviting some family member.

The ability to create databases quickly to store informations instead of using Excel for example.
Cons
