I love VS code although I was overwhelmed at first but as of now its the go to code editor for me as it facilitates all my needs with its easy to use system, wide community and numerous extensions and very nice customer support.
Pros
I loved how it can be integrated with my previous work files as well as the community for it huge which helps when a certain issue arises. In addition to that the wide range of extensions present are also a huge bonus.
Cons
Some cons about VS Code is that it is confusing sometimes as there a lot of features present and it might get overwhelming to a beginner.

My overall experience with visual studio code has been pretty amazing. I started with sublime text at first but then having seen the workspace folder integrations built-in terminal and extensive extension support I eventually switched to studio code which took a little learning at first but then changed the way i have been developing websites lately.
Pros
The ability to make use of several extensions really helps me save time while writing code, the auto complete feature enables me to write code for web layouts quite effectively and provides me with a base template to further work on the internal structure and functions. The processing is fast and terminal works effortlessly.
Auto-complete
Extensions for various Languages and libraries
Built-in terminal
Easy workspace folder management system.
Cons
The auto complete sometimes messes up my coding speed by completing code chunks that it expects me to be writing while i might be writing a similar code structure. Having to disable it again and again or having to pay attention to it while working can sometimes become a hassle.

Whether it is working on Jar climate on the highest point of Python as a component of web application or making basic HTML pages, Visual Studio is my decision of IDE. Indeed, even Edx from where I continue to select for new instructional exercises and courses utilizes Visual Studio. So it is extremely helpful. Obviously Visual Studio by Microsoft is maybe the most exceptional IDE that is refreshed as often as possible. Visual Studio is ideal IDE to use new computer based intelligence capacities with modules like Tabnine.
So , the overall experience has been quite good .
Pros
It has an enormous client care accessible in its true site. It gives a large number of instruments for different programming dialects including C#, F#, PYTHON, C++ from there, the sky is the limit. To foster Cloud based applications, it can consistently incorporates with microsoft sky blue. It upholds extensive variety of undertaking advancement assignments from coding to troubleshooting and testing. I created many cross stage applications utilizing it. Its strong investigating apparatuses incorporates breakpoints, watch windows and step through troubleshooting empower recognizing and fixing issues without any problem. The range of extensions that this IDE supports is quite amazing!
Cons
One of the main cons is that VS Code takes up lot of resources , which leads to slowing the machine itself. Also, I did not find it suitable for android development . It needs a built in android studio support!

VSCode and the turnover of the market
Reviewed on 21/3/2024
Pros
It's free, open-source, highly maintained, compatible with all platforms, highly configurable, easy to develop for and on. Huge online community and contributors and high integration with almost any available product out there.
Cons
Projects are scoped into project files, and it's quite difficult to manage in a single windows all the other projects that you might be working at the same time with different configurations. This also includes the ssh tunnels to server machines to visualize the folder and file structure and make real time modifications, which requires you most of the time to have a separate window instead of a tab in the same one.

This is a great product for coding experts/programmers. It is also friendly to use if you're a beginner. I can't say this is a masterpiece but it performs most of the essential jobs. Unfortunately, the performance bottleneck is the issue if you're having low-end computer. Otherwise, this is a fully free software that most people will love!

- It is fully free and available in many platforms!
- Highlight codes so you will notice the typos easily.
- Comfortable to read the coding.
- Quite snappy and high efficiency.
- Looks premium compared to others.
Cons

Visual Studio is the best IDE available because of its wide support for languages and the ability to fully customize it to your liking. The Work Spaces feature is extremely useful to us as we have multiple projects that we can be working on at one time. This makes it easy to switch between projects quickly and easily without ever leaving the IDE.
Pros
Free. Easy to setup and get started. Tons of extensions/themes to customize it. Work spaces. Native GIT integration.
Cons
Settings can be really hard to find because they are nested so deep and you have to use the command palette to access/toggle them. Microsoft owned product so there is telemetry that is sent back to them.

A very useful software, expecially for beginners

I recently started coding but Visual Studio Code was very easy to learn, there are many features that I haven't explored in depth yet but which I had the opportunity to see through some video tutorials. By installing the Live Server plugin I also have the opportunity to immediately see the changes my code has on the web screen. Coding, thanks to this software, is not at all as complicated as you might think.
Pros
It's easy to learn how to use the software: you have the possibility to open an entire fold to work comfortably without thinking about having to add external objects into your code; you can work on different pages of the same architecture, thus having the possibility to intervene on multiple fronts easily (HTML, CSS, etc); you have the option to install additional tools to facilitate the coding experience.
Cons
It is difficult to identify the error in very long code, you can use the console on the browser to understand the origin but the software does not tell you what is missing or what is wrong. By changing some features you can make the error a little more evident with the use of colors (for example if closing punctuation is missing), but once the code is sent to run no error is reported.

The major pro of this software is it's completely free to use. The way UI is built is highly professional. The software is stable and reliable.
Cons
The only con I would say is resolving conflicts on this is not very efficient. I have faced minor bugs when using dark theme but they can be ignored not a big issue.
