Kofax accomplishes what it sets out to do. It is very functional with a lot of features.

The interface is generally clunky, complicated, and lags. While it has tons of functionality, there is a sense that the entire application could use quite a bit more polishing. Everything works, but could be easier. It works for my users and is cheaper than the name brand, but my users beg me to go back to the name brand because of these issues. I also hate the licensing. When you buy, you only get the version available at that time with no promise of even security updates. You better save the installation package because you likely won't be able to download it again.

Takes time to get used to menus, help menu is less intuitive

I have been using this PDF software since before it was purchased by Kofax. I needed affordable PDF software for the creation and completion of forms used for inspections and for the conversion of reports created in other software to PDF format. Final reports, in PDF format, are then electronically sent to clients. The ability to "flatten" these forms and reports to preclude modification is an important feature.

Power PDF provides the solutions required for my business. The switch several years ago to the ribbon toolbar was a small learning curve but an improvement in the long run.

Saving a file with edits can cause issues with opening in other PDF programs. This is an issue since we send out PDFs to clients.

Converts excel to multiple sheets as opposed to whole doc on 1 page

I like how easy it is to combine multiple files across different file types, as well as easily reduce the file size for ease of sharing

I feel like the text editing functions could be improved, especially the ability to highlight text continuously

I haven´t found anything negative yet... So it is hard to say what I like least about Kofax.

Ease of use and feature rich. Price point is excellent when compared to Adobe Acrobat. We also tried Soda PDF Desktop 14 which was not as powerful.

Editing function difficult to use. There are instances where a fillable form needs editing and Koufax has trouble.

This is a compact PDF software which has a smooth user interface. Kofax Power PDF is also easy to operate.

Obviously there is nothing to say wrong about a PDF viewer, I love the design and inbuilt tools of this software.

It has almost all the features like Adobe Acrobat Pro

Power PDF is easy to use and gets the job done. it doesn't annoy users with trying to upsell their product. I especially like the ability to OCR a document.

Converting a PDF to an Excel file can be tricky, but it can be done.

Ability to edit and merge PDF documents. Ability to create PDF Forms.

I wish that some of the editing tools were easier to find and use - especially blanking out non- essential information.

The conversion features are so useful, creating Word/Excel and fillable forms.

Converting documents into Excel is probably very tricky. Sometimes the results are not optimal, but even then useable.

Able to edit a PDF for shipping documents with ease now.

I only use the Edit and Convert functions, both work well for what I need them for.

In our law office, there is a lot of scanning and merging of files. Kofax makes it extremely easy to make Word docs into pdfs. It is super easy to print off the application and use the merge feature makes everything extremely easy!

I think the searchable feature could use an update since it's not 100% all the time
