I love the increased features that QuickBooks desktop has versus the online software version specifically the ability to integrate business bank accounts and I love the ability to back up all files onto a computer instead of online where it’s backed up to a cloud and is at risk for it to be corrupted or lost at any time

Thing I like least about QuickBooks desktop is all the steps you have to go to in order to open and close the program so that your files always stay up-to-date. I feel like they should implement or create a easier start up and close out function.

I find it easy to use once you know what you've used a feature a few times.

Asking me to sign in to my Intuit account periodically. Also heard they are phasing it out. I don't want it in the cloud.

The ease and simplicity to do things. Our credit cards and bank accounts are easy to link.

Talking to a non-English speaking customer service rep. I will say though, that even the rare times we talk to an English speaking person, we are given the wrong information.

I like the ease of being able to have multiple accounts at the touch of your fingertips. It is also pretty easy to set up and maintain.

The cost is high for a small business. And, service has been very difficult at times. I tried to switch to on-line and it was a nightmare and then going back to desk top was also a nightmare. My recommendations is to stick with one and make sure you back up often.

Having Quickbooks Desktop allows me to quickly access the books on my computer anytime.

There's not much that I didn't like I'm able to use it quickly and have it set up to my preference.

I dislike that it has differences with Quickbooks Online, I'd prefer they be the same

Accessible from any device, including phones, tablets, and computers
Simple to identify and correct errors/mistakes.
Easy to check up consumer details.

Data is not constantly backed up, and you risk losing information.
Lacks tools for designing invoices.
Lack of important reporting outside of accounting

This product is so easy to use. It has so many features and makes my job so much easier.

I wish I could take it on the go or use it when I am working from home, but I guess that is what QuickBooks Online is for.

QuickBooks desktop is the most comprehensive accounting software that we’ve ever used for our small business.

The ability to log in remotely. At the very least the ability to review our books remotely.

QB desktop offers plenty of customization tools to allow you to maximize its features for your business. You can create and save many different custom reports and its ease of use allows you to find discrepancies in your data more efficiently.

The system could use a design update and be more effective in its multi-user mode functionality.

The program is easy to use. There are many reports that can be adapted to your needs. I was not properly trained and have managed to navigate and do everything I need to do. The find feature is excellent and can find transactions easily by check number, amount, name, etc. It's much better on the desktop than the online version. We have been using Quickbooks for many years and have had a great experience with it.

It's no longer being supported with security and updates, so we have to transition to online. Aside from that, it was hard that we only had two local computers with the program, so if we needed access from another location, we had to use a remote desktop. There's nothing from the cloud with multiple users.

Easy to use. Works well for small companies with minimal employees.

Too easy to make changes to closed periods; anyone with the closing password can change things that would affect financial statements. Changing item receipts to bills requires the closing password even if nothing changes that would affect financial statements. Hard to use for project costing. Support is awful.

I like that QuickBooks allows me to take control of all accounts payable and receivable. I also like the accessibility to all of my important reports that help me keep my business running!

QuickBooks is a little hard to navigate. It takes a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it, it's not bad!

Ease of use and able to customize to fit our businesses' desires and needs. We can create custom reports, invoices, Chart of accounts to help us to track our business' financial health.

Cost. Since it's a paid software, some of us finds its cost a bit high especially for small businesses and or freelancers with limited budgets

QuickBook Desktop for Mac is the application I used. I like it better than QuickBooks Online, as it has more features and functionality.

The cost has become astronomical, and customer support has become poor in recent years. I've used QB since 1999. The company has changed and has outsourced support. Many times to people with very heavy accents. As a small business owner, my time is valuable, and spending more time asking support personnel to repeat themselves is frustrating and time-consuming. Once, I had to do the math for the customer service rep, who couldn't figure out that I was due some money from a credit card transaction.

It’s easy to use and not difficult to set up and merge your files.

If you have a file that you want to duplicate to separate the type of account you want it to be placed under, it won’t allow it.

Most parts of the program were easy to use!

When Quickbooks forced their small business owners to Quickbooks Online, it was not an easy process. Forcing that kind of switch in the middle of a year, was less than convenient, especially when our company file was too big to transfer anything but out customers and vendor lists.

Quickbooks is a very user friendly software that not only tracks inventory but tracks orders, user accounts and point of sale. It syncs well from other compatible software and makes accounting fun and easy!

Sometimes the inventory on orders needs to be double checked after syncing from another software over to quickbooks to ensure numbers match
