I get a box that tells me files were saved and it gives me peace of mind to know that my work will not be lost.
Pros
Very easy to set up and when automated keeps up with files being saved to the cloud. Couldn't be better than that.
Cons
Haven't found a Con for idrive as of yet.

So far, I have been able to back up my files with ease and no problems have occurred.
Pros
I very enjoy how easy it is to use the software. Although I've only had cloud storage from Idrive for a few weeks, I love the peace of mind knowing my data is backed up should anything happen to my external hard drives.
Cons
Not many cons that I can think of. Perhaps including a way to download cloud files without having to install idrive software on a computer.

As well as using iDrive for remote access of my data when I'm on another device on the go, I have fully retrieved my data when a device failed (PC and laptop), without the need to get a tech to pull the data out for me. Each time I was able to purchase a new device and move forward with no data loss.
Pros
I love that it backs up everything automatically - PC, laptop, smartphone, and tablet.
Cons
I wish Google Workspace backup was included in the main subscription.

Excellent backup software. I like that you can backup multiple computers and also external hard drives which is something other backup software packages do not always offer.
Pros
This product is easy to setup and I like the fact that I can use my subscription to backup multiple computers using only 1 account.

User interface is good but could use a little improvement.

5TB of backup space is a great deal for the price
I would love to see their main website info pages pared down and clarified - I had a heck of a time figuring out what exactly they offered and how it worked. With so many cloud services offering slightly different things and using the same terms ("Backup" "cloud storage" "collaboration," etc.) I found it difficult to compare apples to apples or even to determine whether what was on offer was actually apples in the first place. So to speak.
Pros
Lots of backup space for the best price around
Cons
Difficult to navigate their informational articles
Difficult to determine what exactly you're getting with each plan - I thought I was getting 5TB of cloud storage, but it's actually just cloud collaboration - a space to share things with collaborators, but not dedicated storage

My experience so far has been very positive, as the tool perfectly meets my needs, which is to perform backups and maintain a document history, similar to Google Drive, but much cheaper. The annual fee for IDrive is comparable to the monthly fee for Google Drive.
I highly recommend it to everyone.
Pros
Ease of backing up my computer using the IDrive backup application.

I've been using IDrive for a while and it's become my top choice for cloud storage. I love its comprehensive backup options, including entire system images, and the ability to sync across all my devices. The user-friendly interface makes setup easy, and the reliable performance and reasonable pricing add to its appeal. Security features like encryption and two-factor authentication give me peace of mind, and while initial backup speeds could be faster, IDrive's overall versatility and strong support make it an excellent choice for both personal and business needs
Pros

Excellent. Very happy with its reliability and, especially, the help that is available when I need it. I am located in Europe, and am used to having to contact customer support teams at inconvenient times due to the time difference. But IDrive support is always available. That's a huge win for me.
Pros
I like that it is a reputable company with superb customer service, and that their product actually WORKS. I was with a competitor for many years--basically inertia and wanting to avoid hassle kept me with them. They were very costly, and there were always glitches causing me to re-install the software. Their customer support doesn't respond. Period. I was actually a bit of a stooge for staying with them for so long. I did a search of reviews and IDrive came up No. 1. I am very pleased with it, and feel much more secure about business continuity, especially as my Mac ages.
Cons
I had trouble with installation, and required help from customer service (which I got immediately). But it wasn't intuitive. I also get some random error messages I don't understand, that I need to research.

I recently replaced my home quality NAS with a SYNOLOGY 1522+ 5-bay NAS. I was looking for a more professional approach to mass data storage. In re-tooling my data protection plan, I quickly realized the local NAS was good, but what happened if the NAS got destroyed? Fire, Water, etc? I live in Florida, so the threat of bad weather and destruction is very real.
So.....I started researching off-site data protection schemes and quickly ran across iDrive. It was highly recommended by the top tech firms so it passed my initial screening. Once I hit their site, I quickly realized this was just the service I was looking for. Easy, efficient, inexpensive and (to my suprise) the SYNOLOGY OS has an iDrive integration app already in their app store! Cha-ching!
Commissioning the service was super simple. Loaded the app on my SYNOLOGY and off we went. iDrive makes it easy with simple point and click configuration and talks sealmessly with the SYNOLOGY. Within a few minutes (seemed less than that) I had my first back configured, scheduled and making it's first pitch. The first backup took a little over an hour for my 6TB of backup data. I now have it scheduled to run at 2am on Monday's and Thursday's. The much quicker incremental backup are averaging 15-20 minutes.
Can't be happier with iDrive service. I honestly can't think of anything better. I guess if they wanted to improve, they could assimilate my mind, analyze my thinking patterns, then automatically signup, setup and deploy off-site backups......(just kidding, [sensitive content hidden] will take of that in a few years, but we don't have to worry about that yet!)
Deploy as will.......YOU won't be disappointed!
Pros
Easy, efficient and you can schedule it to run anytime you want!
Cons
Nothing! As you can see from my review below, I am a fan of iDrive and super happy with the service they provide......

Solid backup performance - pay attention to the scheduler
Reviewed on 1/2/2024
Pros
First, it works reliably. As simple as this sounds, some competitor products do not work reliably, and the solution is to uninstall and reinstall the software. The performance of iDrive has been solid.
Cons
The software is not smart enough to figure out the last backup did not run and communicate it somehow or just launch the backup. The problem is, if your computer is off during the scheduled time, the backup will not run, and you may not find out about it. A solution would be to leave your computer on 24x7.

I have positive experience with iDrive as it several times helped me when my project files got corrupted due to the hard disk failure and I was able to recover the files from the cloud.
Pros
Huge storage for a price. Actually it is slightly too big for me. It gives me peace of mind that my files are secured and backed up in the cloud, and that I can recover them in no time. Also I can reach files on my mobile phone as sometimes my clients ask me to send the files when I am on the move.
Cons
It takes time to get used to it and find out how everything works. Also it would be nice to have feature that I could see the backed up photos.

Pros
IDrive offers an affordable and secure backup system, featuring military-grade AES 256-bit encryption and the option for a private encryption key. The ability to back up an unlimited number of devices on a single account, coupled with the flexibility to create unique folders for each device, is a significant advantage. These features make IDrive particularly well-suited for businesses that require robust data protection and customization options.
Cons
So far everything has worked properly. For large capacity backups the price is a bit expensive.

Simple and sweet. No issues and a straightforward backup process.
Pros
Ease of use and good software design. There aren't many services that offer 10TB of storage for such a price. The ability to backup your internal/external drive or SD card is great!
Cons
The fact that restoring a backup would only restore it to the exact location it was backed up from. You are unable to choose where to download the backed up files to. For example, I backed up files from an SD card to free up space on said SD card. If I wanted to restore those files at a later stage, they have to be restored to that same SD card or the drive letter that the card was initially issues. This is a minor inconvenience but nothing major.

Backups are a pain! I have external drives and wires everywhere and I hate them. Even though I keep local physical backups, but what would happen if there was a fire or flood?
