Awesome tool to manage social media platform from one place

Reviewed on 30/5/2023

Overall, Picmaker definitely provides a pretty good ROI because of its templates library. Some excellent features, like background removal, are even available in the free plan. I found it better than Canva in so many ways.

Pros

I've recently started using Picmaker, and overall I feel it's an excellent replacement for Buffer + Canva. It has templates for almost all use cases, simplifying things for our designers. I liked the option of creating a brand kit; it helped our new team members quickly follow the basic brand guidelines.

Cons

It has some learning curve if you move from Canva due to its extensive feature set, but overall this tool is simple enough to get started in a couple of weeks. Apart from that, I feel the categorisation of uploaded assets can be improved a bit.

Competitor To Canva

I use Picmaker to spread knowledge and get attention to the subject while doing so. To the people around me and myself.

Pros

The features it had and the way better filter system, being able to distinguish key terms. Less finicky to change and move texts plus images. More organized with the options of how and what to edit. Lastly simple layout for understanding where you're at to where you wanna go.

Cons

Processing could be quicker especially with big projects.

Good, but some features buggy

Reviewed on 5/4/2023

I mainly use it to make youtube thumbnails, and it does it pretty quick

Pros

It simple to use, i can use it anywhere. It does make something simpler and can produce pretty good results fast.

Cons

I started using pic maker originally for bg remover. Then that got put behind a paywall, which was annoying. As it was a reason i picked them over one of their competitors. Sometimes some of thea features get buggy, like selection and will dissepar then come back. the BG remover is sometimes hit or miss too.

Picmaker is a great alternative to Canva and other image creation tools!

Reviewed on 16/5/2023

I really like Picmaker and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an easy-to-use alternative to more sophisticated software (I moved to Picmaker from Photoshop(!))

Pros

I'm able to work quickly in Picmaker. The background removal tool works well, as do the image manipulation tools. I also really like having quick access to a lot of free stock images.

Cons

Asset management could, perhaps, be improved (though I do wonder if this is more because I haven't taken the time to wrap my head around the logic behind their asset management).

Picmaker - A Powerful and User-Friendly Graphic Design Tool

Reviewed on 1/6/2023

Pros

One of the standout features of Picmaker is its vast collection of professionally designed templates. With a wide range of categories and styles to choose from, you can find templates for social media posts, presentations, infographics, posters, and much more. These templates serve as a fantastic starting point, enabling even beginners to create visually appealing designs effortlessly. Each template is customizable, allowing you to tweak the elements according to your preference and brand identity. The user interface of Picmaker is intuitive and easy to navigate. The drag-and-drop functionality makes it simple to add and arrange various design elements like text, images, icons, and shapes. Additionally, the platform provides a rich library of high-quality images and icons, ensuring that you have access to a diverse range of visuals to enhance your designs. The ability to upload custom fonts and images is also a great advantage, enabling you to maintain consistency with your branding. One feature that sets Picmaker apart from other graphic design tools is its robust editing capabilities. The platform offers advanced editing tools that allow you to fine-tune your designs with precision. From adjusting the opacity and color of elements to adding shadows and gradients, Picmaker provides a comprehensive set of editing options that cater to the needs of both basic and advanced users.Another notable aspect of Picmaker is its integration with various platforms.

Cons

While Picmaker is an incredibly powerful tool, it does have a few minor limitations. Although the platform offers a vast collection of templates, some users may wish for even more variety. Additionally, while the editing tools are comprehensive, they might not match the level of functionality provided by dedicated design software like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. However, considering its affordability and the overall value it provides, these limitations are minor in comparison.

Sneaky costs but pretty good tool

Reviewed on 31/3/2022

The name gives it all - Pic Maker. It's a pretty good "pic maker", image editing tool to make some simple designs that you can use to market yourself online.
If you are looking for an alternative to Canva, this is pretty similar and might be a good alternative. If you're looking for a simple, easy to use image editing tool for blog feature images, facebook covers, instagram stories, youtube thumbnails, etc., then this will pretty much do a good job. If you're looking for more advanced image manipulation features, then this might not be it.
If their prices would be lower, then this would really be a good deal. Maybe if they make a smaller starter plan for like $2/mo, without the premium images where they just include the features they've developed like Smart Resize, folders, brand kits, then they might have more success. There are many other tools in this field and it's getting pretty competitive which is why I think that prices need to go down or massive innovation up.

Pros

Pretty nice Canva alternative, but more limited... more like Canva just for Web or Canva minus the Print products templates. For me it doesn't matter since I didn't use that in Canva anyway. This is great if you're using it for thumbnail photos, Facebook cover photos for groups or pages, instagram stories or facebook stories, blog banner or post featured image, etc. So basically all the daily web-related stuff that isn't too complicated.
The best feature I see is that you get to search through for photos from different free photo providers like Unsplash, Pexels, etc. Just make sure you select a free photo if you don't want to pay more. This feature is very good because it basically searches and displays photos using your keyword from all the providers they have, which increases the chances of you getting a good photo, without having to visit each gallery individually and search each one. Saves a lot of time.
It also has some nice tone filters if you want to play around with it to match your website design colors and stuff.
It does feel faster than Canva, but it's also lighter.

Cons

The company behind this tool is pretty much using every opportunity to either try to make you upgrade your plan, or pay extra for images, which is why it's important to make sure to select the free ones if you don't want to pay. Even after you upgrade they'll still have some elite image that require you to pay. The editing is pretty good and it does work in the Firefox browser, not just Chrome, but it's features aren't all that spectacular aside from the search function which accesses multiple databases of free photos. It mostly feels like it's a Canva copy, without any innovation, which is okay if that's the starting point.
It's annoying that if you don't pay attention you might add a photo, create your whole design around that photo and colors and then only at the end, when you've finished, they tell you that it costs extra.

Great app for making thumbnails for Youtube

Reviewed on 28/11/2022

It is a great tool for easy designing. Even though you are not a professional designer and do not know how to use complicated programs, you can make good designs in few clicks. Love it!

Pros

Variety of templates. I can make almost any type of designs with this service. And it is super easy to use. I just can make best designs by few clicks. I also like the quality of their BG remover. I even can export the picture that I removed BG. I can use those BG transparent pictures for video editing softwares too.

Cons

They have variety of templates but less numbers of designs compare to Canva. I hope they will add more and more templates.

Pros

The user interface of picmaker is easy to use.Newbie does not have to spend time understanding the tool. He/She just need to open the tab and can start working without any headache.

Cons

Picmaker should now start providing customized solutions because every company has its own needs and solving issues all issues using one tool is not possible. Also sometimes there is a case where comapny does not need some features present in picmaker and removing those features will make the tool more simple to use.

Best graphics designing tool online

Reviewed on 10/2/2023

Picmaker is an excellent choice for beginners and those who want to create simple designs. It is compatible with multiple platforms and provides a wide range of features. However, those with more experience or who want to create complex designs may want to look for a more advanced design tool.

Pros

Picmaker suits my multiplatform needs. I can use it on any device because it supports Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, and Edge. Picmaker's finished. Fonts, shapes, backdrops, and stickers let me make coffee mug stickers and YouTube banners. Simple is better. Because of its simple interface, I can develop patterns without changing settings without graphic design abilities.

Cons

As a graphic designer, I find Picmaker to be overwhelming. There are so many tools and templates that it's hard to choose which ones to use. Additionally, I'm unable to use Picmaker on my iOS or Android devices, which is a bummer. Furthermore, I find that Picmaker lacks features and experienced designers may find the software too simple.

Great little tool, look out Canva!

Reviewed on 16/4/2023

Pros

I like the developers are continuing active development to add features. I also like the MAD tool and the ability to upload our own images as well as use that library. The various prebuilt library of sizes for various social media platforms and other platforms also comes in very handy so you aren't constantly battling sizing issues.

Cons

Some of the image library are premium and wI wouldn't necessarily consider it to be premium. Additionally, the problem may be solved, but if you do a solid color with low. opacity, you cannot see what the project is in the file preview. It shows the solid color without opacity on the project preview instead of the ad with opacity overlay. Minor inconvenience, but annoying nonetheless.
