ABSOLUTELY a must have as a small practice professional.
Pros
Ease of use was paramount. Accessibility through mobile app or laptop. Ease of syncing with client booking software. I also used it for office space-sharing purposes. Made collaborating around numerous schedules extremely easy.
Cons
Automated "correcting" of time blocks selected made it inconvenient for quick inserts on the go.

Product is effective. Somewhat laborious to put events into Calendar manually. Could be much more efficient with improved integration with AI companies and events received via email.
Pros
Established leader in online scheduling/calendar. Years of experience using this product
Cons
Could be so much more. Potential features such as automatic options to incorporate events directly to Google Calendar and better integration with AI companies would make it much more effective.

The good, old standard

I've been using Google Calendar for years and probably won't switch due to its easy integrations and since I generally know my way around. I hope more improvements will be made in the future, especially in terms of a better Asana integration.
Pros
Since it's the standard as far as calendar apps, it integrates nearly seamlessly with invitations from Zoom and other third-party apps. It's generally reliable and easy enough to set up.
Cons
I wish there were a better integration to Asana. It's challenging to manage multiple Google accounts (such as several Gmail inboxes for different clients) and constantly have to ensure your calendar is reflecting the correct Google account. Admittedly, this would be easier on Chrome, but on Firefox it is very clunky. I wish there were a way to checkmark scheduled events as done. Sure, they disappear off your calendar once they've lapsed, but there would be some satisfaction in actually 'checking' them off. Maybe there is a setting somewhere that I don't know about.

Google Calendar is super nice and easy to manage. After using more than two years for my company, the experience is still positive. I can organize events and tasks easily with notifications ON. The ease of the features provides such "fast" experience, so that there is not much delay.
Pros
Google Calendar helps users customize easily with tasks and meetings. The time management app is still great.
Cons
Google Calendar should have more advanced features that allow users to utilize features easily like automation.

Google Calendar is an everyday, all the time app for me. It's a lifesaver. I couldn't function without it. So simple to use, very elegant in design and functionality. Just the most straightforward calendar product I've ever used.
Pros
It's very simple to setup and use. It syncs easily across all devices (either with native apps on mobile, or through a browser on PC). Additional functionality has been added recently that can help you find a time that works for all attendees and automatically create virtual meeting links. I literally could not function at work or outside of it with Google Calendar. I am able to color code my events and the automatic reminders are lifesaving. The month-view helps me plan weeks ahead and gives me a view of what's coming up.
Cons
I wish it integrated with Zoom a little cleaner - the integration with Google Meet is obviously flawless, but we utilize Zoom or Teams at work.

Asleep at the wheel, Google Calendar needs to catch up

Digital calendars have become a core source of truth for planning and day-to-day work and life...
Digital calendars have become a core source of truth for planning and day-to-day work and life management. To serve their users today, calendar apps need to be as frictionless as possible while maximising user freedom to differentiate between work and life, events and tasks, and to easily connect to as many types of other software as possible. Once a trailblazing titan of the industry, in the past decade Google Calendar has sadly been innovating as a snail innovates the concrete it glides across. Simple, basic usability improvements like setting the visible length of the day have been available on other calendar apps for almost a decade now, while Google Calendar has actually removed this feature. The only time that I log into Google Calendar now is when the GCal API is actively prohibiting other calendar software of doing something. A lane needs to be picked here: either open up your architecture and serve the ideals that the company was based on, or remain a closed system but modernise.
Pros
Fast & easy to access, with colours that are easy on the eyes, and a no-frills experience of setting up
Cons
An outdated and cumbersome calendar configurator, aging architecture, missing core features, horrible troubleshooting.
Reasons for Switching to Google Calendar

I really appreciate how Google Calendar integrates smoothly with other Google services, making it easy to manage my schedule.
But, I find the lack of extensive customization options frustrating, as I would like more control over how my calendar looks and functions.
Pros
It seamlessly integrates with other Google services like Gmail, Google Meet, and Google Tasks, making it easy to manage schedules and appointments. The ability to set up recurring events with flexible options (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) helps users manage ongoing commitments effortlessly.
Cons
While Calendar offers some customization, sometimes it feels that there are not enough options to personalize the interface or the way events are displayed.

I am a big Google fangirl, and utilize the Google Workspace and Calendar daily, so I can easily rave about the easy functionality and how super intuitive the workspace, calendar, and general flow are. Google Calendar helps keep my day easily organized.
Pros
I absolutely love Google Calendar and how intuitive it is. It allows us to combine our personal calendars with our organizations calendars for simple, easy-to-organize, functional event and business calendar management. We have several studios, rehearsal halls, and meeting rooms constantly in rotation and function, and allowing the cross-management of all calendars, we are able to keep our business running smoothly.
Cons
I am honestly a huge fan of the Google Calendar, so there isn't much I don't like. Perhaps a bit more customization for personal needs would be a nice addition? (Theme, colors, fonts, etc.) But that's a nuanced criticism.

This really helps me keep our family on track. I think we would all be lost without using a family calendar to keep our schedules and work/business organized. It really helps us to schedule things for each other or categorize it as a family event vs an individual event. It's been a very helpful tool to use.
Pros
I love that you can manage multiple people's schedules and that it will show up on apple phones and Android phones. It's very easy to use and I love that you can color code each person's schedules.
Cons
