One of the best mind-mapping tools on the market
Reviewed on 20/1/2021
Lucidchart is easy to use out of the box, has tons of features making it useful in basically every use case I can imagine.
No cheap customer lock-in. You can easily export your projects and switch to another tool.
Pros
Abundance of features, which makes this software so versatile. You can basically use it for every task and project.
I mainly use it for mind-mapping and brainstorming, but it's also equally useful for taking notes, story-boarding, gathering ideas, presenting, drawing graphs, schemes and organisational charts, Gantt timelines, or even team building (it works great as an online whiteboard).
What I really love is ease of use and multitude of features. Every time I wish I could do something, it turns out it's possible. Seems like developers really thought about everything and listen closely to their users and use cases.
Also, you don't really feel that the software is locking you in--you can export your projects to similar software/platforms, e.g. Visio.
Cons
Getting to know some features takes time and energy, documentation and tool tips have some space for improvement.
Also, licencing model could be more friendly for small companies or people who use it as backup/auxiliary software only (en entry level paid subscription model).
Reasons for Choosing Lucidchart

The software is really a one-stop shop for your whiteboarding needs: from mind mapping to drawing and charting...
But the abundance of buttons can make a havoc, and clutter. That makes the experience less pleasant.

There are too good features like mind mapping and brainstorming, and with the ability of adding your team members you are really in good company!
Cons
The Library of shapes, icons and graphics are not that diverse. Some of the items (logos) are outdated. Another is not there at all.

Best diagramming and collaborative online platform in the market
Reviewed on 25/4/2023
In summary, Lucidchart, with its high-quality visual collaboration suite enable our team to meet our business needs and helps our teams visualize, plan, and build our ideas effectively.
Pros
The visual language used in Lucidchart also aids in keeping teams aligned and focused. By providing a common visual language, Lucidchart makes it easier for team members to understand each other's ideas and work together towards a common goal. This can be especially useful for large teams or teams with remote members, as it helps bridge communication gaps and ensures everyone is on the same page. With its intelligent diagramming capabilities, teams can map out their processes, systems, and organizational structure in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand way. This can greatly accelerate collaboration and improve communication among team members, as everyone is able to work in the same space and align their ideas.
Cons
There could be a steep learning curve as there are many ways in which one could use lucid chart, there are also many "hidden" features for the user to explore. Like any other diagramming software, the user could be at lost when starting, however, its intuitive UI would aid any beginners in using the software.

A nice platform to use for your wireframe, mockup tasks
Reviewed on 7/7/2022
This is on of the good tool to use for all your wireframe, mockup works. I still use this for my simple tasks for workflow, process and wireframe works. Some of the features are not available since it requires a paid subscription. The platform is getting revised with lot of new and useful features and I hope it's going to be a best one. May be one day this can be an alternative for Photoshop ;-)
Pros
It's a cloud based software and quick to access. We can access it via our gmail id as SOS login. When it comes to feature, there are some great options which I like most. Like the layer option is a pretty good feature and it reminds me the Photoshop software. Though it's not a sophisticated feature but a nice one to have for this kind of software. The other thing is Lucidaspark, its looks more classic and spacious. The drag and drop option, multiple export file options are the few best features to name.
Cons
I can't arrange the layer as a whole. It always allow me to arrange the elements within the layer and not the layers itself. For ex., I have 3 layers where one of the layer is a background image which I want to push behind the 2 other layers which is not possible if I create the background layer last. This is something frustrating for me to fix.

Easy to use charting software with a wide range of advanced features
Reviewed on 10/4/2020
I was able to create flowcharts for marketing processes and export them to PDF for sharing with my client with a minimum of fuss. The outlay is small compared to a fully-fledged application like Microsoft Visio, even though it seems to have a similarly large feature set.
Pros
It was very easy to get up and running with Lucidchart - the enormous collection of starter templates meant that I was able to find a similar chart to the one I needed to create and get the right objects loaded up straight away. The interface is very similar to a desktop application, despite the fact that it's running in a browser - it even has keyboard shortcuts. There are tons of features and integrations that I never even got around to using, as my charting requirements were quite simple.
Cons
The sheer range of features available in the software was a little daunting at first. A simpler interface for people who only need a subset of features might be a helpful addition.

Reviewed on 11/2/2023
It has been a great experience with Lucidchart overall. We are able to create and discuss the flows and processes in highly efficient manner using Lucidchart. The team's productivity has increased and delivery cycle has also shortened.
Pros
Lucidchart helps create effective flowcharts in a convenient manner. This enables brainstorming among the team members and we can arrive at the best possible flows and solutions. Lucidchart also allows to replicate and easily modify the flowcharts and diagrams for quick iteration. The flows in Lucidchart can be easily copied and pasted to documents and presentations.
Cons
The customisable templates for creating various flowcharts need to be more discoverable . There's no suggestion to improve the flowcharts in Lucidchart which can be very helpful. Sometimes the flowcharts can't be pasted into documents which is an issue. There can be features to better manage the flowcharts in folders.

Lucidchart is a great option for creating professional-looking diagrams for many types of projects and for most users. It offers a wide variety of diagram types and is easy to use, but users should be aware of its limitations when working with complex diagrams or needing advanced features and functionalities.
Pros
Lucidchart is a powerful and versatile diagramming tool that can be used to create a wide range of diagrams including flowcharts, process diagrams, network diagrams, organizational charts, wireframes, and more. One of the things I like most about Lucidchart is its user-friendly interface. It is easy to navigate and provides a wide variety of pre-built shapes, symbols, and templates that make it easy to create professional-looking diagrams. This allows multiple team members to work on a diagram simultaneously and make changes in real-time, which can be very helpful when working on a project with a deadline.
Cons
While Lucidchart is a great tool for creating professional-looking diagrams, there are a few limitations to keep in mind. One limitation is that while it offers a wide variety of diagram types, it may not have all the options that advanced users or specific field experts may need. There are other specialized tools that cater to specific industries or use cases, that might offer more advanced features and functionalities.Another limitation is that the platform may have a steep learning curve for some users. One of the most innovative diagramming collaboration tools out there!
Reviewed on 2/9/2020
The business problems I've been solving with Lucidchart is to create process maps and value stream maps to clearly outline the detail so that it is easy for developers and designers to glean from. It allows me to add a lot more perspective and content so that critical details don't fall through the cracks. Excellent for real-time collaboration and to even have brainstorming sessions.
Pros
The features I like most about this software is the easy set up and I can get going right away. The quick virtual tour is very helpful when it comes to knowing all the different available features. Collaboration is awesome in real-time. Excellent customization available. I have my own template sets and custom shapes that I use most often saved to my favorites. I have also categorized it my diagram type and project type. Lucid just allows you to configure anything you can think of and that is what makes it super powerful. Version history feature and status label on the diagrams comes in handy to track revision control as well. Layers are one of my favorite features because it allows to showcase multiple views of a diagram without taking up too much real estate and is so easy to show/hide based on user preferences. The different ways to share and collaborate like publish links, pdf, png, hyperlinks etc. are super useful to share and collaborate on documents even if the feedback giver is not proficient with Lucidchart.
Cons
The community is not very helpful. The moderation of the community can be better and it would be nice to have specific channels than one open community as most of the content I see there is irrelevant to me. Notifications are easy to miss and doesn't really catch your attention. It's not possible to share folders within a Team Folder which is constraining because then I have to share the whole workspace with someone that I don't want to just so they can access a specific folder or file. Permissioning is tricky as it works sometimes but doesn't work other times. I have to do some extra manual work to pretty up the diagrams and make it fit the canvas all while the content can still be read and visible. It would be nice if that was automated.

"Lucidchart: The Best Diagramming Software for Collaborative Workflows and Creative Minds"
Reviewed on 2/4/2023
Overall, Lucidchart is a potent tool for creating diagrams that provides a multitude of features and connectors. It may cost more than some other diagramming tools, but for teams that require sophisticated functionality, it may be well worth the expense.
Pros
A number of uses are possible for the many diagramming and process modelling tools that Lucidchart offers. The drag-and-drop interface makes it simple to rapidly and effectively construct diagrams. It is simple to include diagrams into other projects because to the software's integration with a number of other programmes, such as Google Drive, Microsoft Word, and Atlassian.Teams may easily collaborate on diagrams using the software's collaboration features, which include real-time collaboration and commenting. Those who are unable to make a financial commitment to a premium product can still utilise Lucidchart thanks to its free version's constrained set of functionality.
Cons
In comparison to alternative diagramming tools, some users might regard Lucidchart's commercial editions to be prohibitively pricey.Although the drag-and-drop interface is often user-friendly, some users can first find it challenging to understand. The programme occasionally has errors or malfunctions and might be difficult to load.

Lucidchart has made creating diagrams of all kinds, especially workflow diagrams and organizational charts, very simple. It's great that with Lucidchart we can collaborate as a team to prepare charts, which ensures that we include all the details we need.
Pros
I like that Lucidchart provides a lot of collaborative features, allowing team members to participate in making workflow charts, org charts, and much more that we need, and the easy-to-customize ready-made templates help us get the job done smoothly. I particularly like how Lucidchart handles organization charts because we can specify the number of sub-levels, add all of the organization's employees, and link them to the line officials within the departments by the proper functional relationships. We can also add their photos, write their names and job titles, and add links to easily access the member's job history. It's also great that we can make more than one sub-organizational chart and connect them directly to the main one. This lets us clearly explain a lot of details.
Cons
Everything in Lucidchart is structured and easy to use. I thought at the beginning that coordinating the sizes of the different components and linking them to one other on the board hard affair, but with practice, it turned out that it is pretty simple.

Critical for illustrating ideas to my team.
Reviewed on 20/11/2022
I am using Lucidchart to graphically illustrate and explain operational marketing ideas and strategy to my team. Lucidchart makes the process of creating workflows and process diagrams a lot easier and inclusive by making it possible for groups of people to work in real time on process diagramming, making our process diagrams as effective as possible.
Pros
Lucidchart is completely browser based and the first benefit of this approach, is that I am able to use Lucidchart across all devices , regardless of their operating system. Lucidchart allows real-time authoring, which helps my team work on critical workflows and process maps as a group , enabling comments and real time chatting , to improve the quality of interaction in the process of building flowmaps.
Cons
Lucidchart's obvious weakness is with the fact that it is completely web based. This makes the program very much reliant on the internet to function. Though, Lucidchart supports offline use, there is a big disparity in the quality of what I can do while connected to the internet on Lucidchart and what feature I am permitted to use in offline mode.

Reviewed on 26/5/2022
Pros
Lucidchart just works. It's simple, obvious/intuitive, and makes communicating super simple.
I love the ability to quickly make new diagrams, succinctly communicate, share, print, etc.
Even training new team members to use Lucidchart is super simple - new engineers may not fully understand the value, but they quickly see it.
Cons
The look and feel of Lucidchart outputs is pretty generic. I wish that the look and feel could be more polished for larger audiences - there are other softwares out there that show/present similar diagrams in a more polished look/feel.
That said, that's minor. Lucidchart does exactly what it says it's going to do.
One big request/wish: I wish Lucidchart had an API that would build diagrams programmtically. Yes, Lucidchart has an API, but I specifically want to hand it PlantUML commands (or something similar) from RunTime code that would quickly build sequence diagrams, class diagrams, system diagrams, etc. But alas, that is entirely missing.

I used Lucidchart for my diagram and org chart projects and was impressed by its ease of use and real-time collaboration functionality. Although there are limitations on some advanced features and the pricing is relatively high, I highly recommend this platform for anyone looking for a user-friendly and professional diagram and org chart creation tool.
Pros
I used Lucidchart for 11 months for creative project management, diagrams, org charts, and wireframing. I was extremely impressed with how user-friendly the platform was. The diagram creation tools were intuitive and allowed for the quick creation of professional and visually appealing graphics. I also appreciated the ability to work collaboratively in real-time with colleagues, which led to increased productivity and better-quality outcomes. Integrations with other applications such as Google Drive were also very convenient.
Cons
Although I was very satisfied with the user-friendliness of the platform, I found that some advanced features were limited. For example, customization of colors and shapes was not as extensive as I would have liked, and there were limits on the number of shapes and colors that could be used. Additionally, I found that the pricing was relatively high, which can be a drawback for those on smaller budgets.

What I like most about this software is that it offers numerous templates and varieties of diagrams so it is a versatile tool that allows multiple functions to be performed from one place. Additionally, it works on the web so it is not necessary to install any program on the computer, and you can access it from any device with an internet connection, as well as, share the documents and in general, the work done with others users. It is also easy to use and during the creation of each diagram offers guides to use the program. Another notable aspect of this software is the possibility of integration with other commonly used applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, which greatly facilitates the work of users.
Cons
So far my experience with the program has been good but I think there are aspects that can be improved, such as sharing files that are working with other users and that can work simultaneously in them to allow collaborative work. Another aspect is the connection to the internet, although it is an advantage to be able to access the program from any device with internet, at the same time it is a disadvantage because if the connection fails or I am in a place where there is no internet, I can not have access to software.
