About 1Password
1Password is a secure, enterprise password manager helping businesses improve security, visibility and control over how their passwords and company data are protected.
Our password management and credentials security platform is trusted by over 100,000 businesses, including IBM, Slack, Snowflake, Shopify, and Under Armour. 1Password protects the most sensitive information of millions of individuals and families across the globe, helping consumers and businesses get more done in less time – without compromising security and privacy.
Businesses can enforce strong, integrated security policies at scale, be proactive about cybersecurity threats to reduce risk, and quickly and easily generate detailed reports on password security posture.
We’re the only password manager that can say with full confidence your secrets will remain safe in the unlikely event of a breach. 1Password’s unique Two-Key-Derivation using the combination of an account password and Secret Key (128-bit, machine-generated code) means nobody could decrypt the data in the unlikely case they were able to access it.
Deployment is easy no matter the size of your business. You can invite people individually by email address or send a sign-up link to everyone. If you use 1Password Business and manage your team using a supported identity provider, you can automatically provision new team members from your IdP using the 1Password SCIM Bridge. If you’re already using a password management solution, migration from your existing solution is easy with simple import tools.
Our team is on hand and ready to give you the tailored guidance and support you need to make onboarding or switching solutions as easy as possible. We support the adoption of 1Password across your organization at no extra cost, offering simple import tools, guided-onboarding, support documentation to deploy quickly, and training initiatives to get employees up and running with ease.

Overall we are very happy with 1Password and will continue to subscribe and recommend it. It's has been updated with new features that I know some of our team has started to utilize like the MFA authenticator and it sounds like it works well. I am very thankful for the personal license they provide for any business licensed user and the ability to share that with my spouse, so we have access to shared passwords. The ability to use the mobile app, browser plug-ins and Windows Desktop app and have them always synced is the best. Our previous solution required a file to be used and sent around to App or other systems. This is a much better product.
Pros
Secure. Easy to implement. Easy to manage users and access. Business subscriptions allows a license for a personal account per user, which you can also share with family. Excellent benefit.
Cons
I'm not a fan of the new look in 1Password for Windows 8.6.1, much prefer the look and function of version 7.9.828. Searching 8.6.x does not work as well as in 7.9.x. When you search in 8.6 it doesn't produce a list of items containing the search term anymore, it goes to the first item that has the search term. There is an "option" at the bottom of the search that says "show all matching items", but I want that to be the default and see no way to make it the default action.

I've been very pleased. They continue to innovate and I rely on their product every day. Now that I've upgraded to the latest Mac OS and I have the family version I can easily keep all of my info up to date easily on all of my devices and share logins with my family when needed. I'm VERY happy.
Pros
I started using this tool over 10 years ago. At the time I was making a transition from Windows to the Mac. I had already been using a password manager for a long time and 1Password seemed to be the best option for the Mac. Over the years I continued to use the standalone plugin on my single computer. I have recently transitioned to the option that keeps all my devices synced and I can't imagine ever going back.
Cons
There were times when I had to get various versions to remain compatible with certain OS changes. Some of the newer versions of the software were not running on older Mac OS versions. The support team was helpful in getting it sorted out.

Describe my overall experience with 1Password using these points:- I was a longtime user of 1Password since 2010, but with their latest changes I have switched away to an independent KeePass-based solution where I control the data- Since taking a lot of VC-funding, the company has become arrogant and has stopped listening to its original power user customer base. Instead, it's chasing corporate customers who should probably use a dedicated identity management solution like Okta or 1Protect instead.
Pros
1Password is strong for non-technical people. It is easy to use and provides a secure way to store and manage passwords, especially when working with people who have never considered password management before. The password generation feature is top-notch, allowing users to create strong and unique passwords with ease.
Cons
I used to be a big fan of 1Password, but their recent changes have been a huge disappointment. Data management is a huge concern, as they used to allow users to store the password database where they wanted, but with the latest version one is obliged to use their service which takes control away from the user. They switched from being a customer-oriented indie developer to a VC-funded SaaS vendor which created customer-hostile incentives. Their native Mac app used to be a masterclass in how to develop a beautiful macOS app. Now they switched to Electron which feels janky, slow, and does not fully support macOS's accessibility features which I rely on. To top it all off, the developers have been quite arrogant online when faced with these criticisms. I would not recommend 1Password to anyone.

Up until about a year ago, I would have given it 5 stars. Not that i see the bullsht that the big boys are using against with 1password, it is at a 3.75. Going to be difficult for them to win so they need to start rolling out updates on a quarterly (i know it's insane) frequency. You don't need an update every week for features that no one asked for
Pros
It has everything in one spot. You literally will not surf the net and will use 1password. The two factor authentication will save you an insane amount of time. Password management is password management. It will generate the password for you in 2 easy steps. Passkeys are awesome when it works. I still don't know where it is being stored. Customer service is tops b/c they get back to you in a hurry.
Cons
Apple Keychain, Google Password Manager and Microsoft Authenticator are all out to kill 1Password and they are doing a pretty good job. To be honest they have made it so difficult where I am seriously considering dropping 1password. The amount of updates coming thru on 1password are killing the application. They are of the mind of weekly update. That has screwed up so many settings for me and it this is a recent trend.

1password a good file, data and password manager

1password is a good password and data manager it helps me a lot to organize all my passwords in categories and with labels, as well as adding users to my vault safely. But to be honest it is not worth its price, it has very great features and the functions it has leave a lot to be desired, plus the platform and the browser extension have a horrible design and the experience is bad, so I decided to switch to LastPass.
Personally, I need something more robust, with more functions, more secure and that adapts to my business and that of my clients.
If you need something simple 1password is what you are looking for.
Pros
What he likes best is that I can create private and shared vaults to view all files together or view them separately in each vault. The "watchtower" option shows me the general security level of the passwords and also generates a breach report, this is excellent to keep the data safe. Other aspects that I liked is that it can organize my passwords with labels and categories and that I can add users to my vaults or share or export passwords to other accounts and applications.
Cons
1password does not have free plans, all its plans are subscription-based. Also what I did not like is that you cannot save files, the mobile application has some errors to connect with Dropbox and also the vulnerable passwords are not changed automatically as in LastPass.
