I had a great experience using Paylocity. It was easy to use, helpful for all time clock and PTO management purposes. When Paylocity came out with their app, it was a game changer for my employees who could use it when traveling.
Pros
Paylocity is a phenomenal product for keeping track of employees' time cards, vacation, teams, and internal office team building. I've used Paylocity for years and found it very useful as a manager. I was able to keep track of all my employees time cards, make quick adjustments, and keep track of PTO.
Cons
Sometimes the editing of clock-ins would freeze up on me and I'd have to start over on a specific edit. This could have been due to our slow internet speeds so I can't say for sure this was due to Paylocity.

Pros
Paylocity provides user-friendly time tracking & payroll software. It is also a good value for the cost.
Cons
Paylocity is basic software, but is lacking in time tracking customization options and benefits module integration.

My overall experience with the platform has been largely positive. I find it easy to use and intuitive to navigate, especially when managing day-to-day HR activities. Most modules are user-friendly and support efficient workflows, though some areas could benefit from additional refinement to enhance usability.
From a financial perspective, I believe the platform offers good value for money, especially considering the range of features available. However, there’s room to improve the payments processing experience. Streamlining payment workflows and offering more customization in the recruiting dashboard—such as the ability to adjust tabs—would further enhance the platform’s overall effectiveness.
Pros
I appreciate the platform’s ease of use and the ability to navigate smoothly through most HR activities. The majority of the modules are user-friendly, which helps streamline daily tasks.
Cons
’d like to see more improvements in security access management. As a multi-company admin, I’ve noticed some limitations, and at times I have to reach out to Paylocity even for minor changes. The security role tabs feel overwhelming and can be confusing.

Overall, good. More pros than cons!! :) This is our first year using Paylocity, so we have spent a lot of time with learning and implementing. We have definitely experienced some bumps in the road, but it's nice that we have a platform that contains so many efficiencies.
Pros
Time gained in efficiencies! We just launched the performance module, and are excited to not have to manually send reviews, wait on managers to do their part, wait on signatures of a PDF from all parties, etc. Everything is done in one place, and it's so nice. It's also nice to have payroll and time/labor live in one place.
I love the community page. I love that employees can encourage each other and have reasons to celebrate one another (announcements of birthdays, anniversaries, other employees making posts to recognize people.)
Cons
Paylocity Support. A lot of times helpful, but also on the flip side not so helpful. They may give you an answer, but not tell you all that you need to know -- which will set you up for failure later. I can't tell you how many times I have received a response from them starting out with "Unfortunately..." We have just come to accept that it is what it is with support.
Also, I'd like to add that workflows are actually very limited and nuanced. They aren't as great as the sales people crack it up to be. Even support will agree here.

Paylocity took our growing company from a manual payroll system without HR recordkeeping and has streamlined many processes, saving many hours with reporting and HR tracking.
Pros
Paylocity is easy to use and has a good support team. When ever something is in questions, whether a report or time card information, it is resolved quickly and usually before ending a quick telephone call.
Cons
The occasional question that is asked regarding a payroll adjustment seems to cause confusion and can take a while to be resolved. It's usually not a common question that which is why it can take a bit longer to find the correct way to resolve it.
