The ability to set goals is Paylocity's strongest suit. It helps the user stay focused and accountable while also providing insight into the priorities of employees and how those priorities relate to the overall goals of the business.
Pros
I like how user-friendly the system is and how readily available the data about employees is for study. Another positive is that it may be customized to become your company's complete human resources and payroll solution.
Cons
Customer service has been frustrating and useless in the past, but we've now built constructive partnerships and are seeing better results as a result. The reporting is similarly mediocre but serves its purpose.

The team that supports us is friendly, responsive and helpful.
Cons
WE still have hiccups in setting up approvals for PRO/timesheets that we cant seem to overcome. There a a few wrinkles in the system that make no sense to me!

We searched for a long time for a platform that integrated HR and payroll for the needs of our organization during a growth and capacity phase. And Paylocity this switch smooth and worth the time it takes to onboard a new platform. Our quarterly and annual reporting was very efficient and during the PPP experience, their customer service and transparency was a welcome need during that time.
Pros
The Time and Attendance feature was a standout—our employees never had issues with the app, which was both surprising and impressive. Customer service was another big plus, with fast response times whenever we needed support. The compliance training modules were incredibly efficient, making annual requirements and onboarding seamless. On top of that, the HR Time and Labor module was easy to use yet flexible enough for setups like multiple pay rates. The reporting tools were also a huge win—detailed, customizable, and integrated well with our budget.
Cons
The lack of integration with QuickBooks was frustrating, requiring a lot of manual entry to post payroll for a large team.
