Smokeball is a cloud-based practice productivity software designed to help users manage small law firms with email, document, calendar and task management functionality, plus time tracking and billing technology. With native mobile apps for iOS and Android, Smokeball affords users the flexibility to access and manage practice information anytime, anywhere.
Automatic time tracking and timesheets enable law firms to track and record their time and activities accurately. Automated legal forms also aim to enhance productivity by providing users with over 20,000 preloaded country, court and federal forms. Smokeball’s legal document automation and assembly tool allows users to create custom legal template forms. Case management technology helps users to organize contacts, documents, tasks, and more.
Smokeball stores client case details and related documents in one place, giving users quick and central access to all digital files. Supporting electronic signatures through DocuSign, Smokeball allows users to get documents, letters and agreements signed securely online. Users can manage appointments and events as well as sync their Outlook or Google Apps to the Smokeball calendar.
Other Smokeball features include legal website, onboarding and performance profitability management. Visual dashboards provide users with law firm insights. Users can manage tasks and workflows with assignment management technology and daily reminders. Integration with LawPay allows users to manage invoicing and trust accounting.

It’s an all in one solution to practice management. Also love the document assembly automation.
Cons
It could integrate better with QuickBooks to provide easier reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts.

The law office I work at started using Smoke Ball about 5 years ago. I was hesitant at first...
The law office I work at started using Smoke Ball about 5 years ago. I was hesitant at first because there's a lot to it and change is hard. Now I completely love that there are a lot of components to it. I absolutely love that SB is integrated with Outlook to save emails right to the client matter, this way I never forget to save them.
Smoke Ball has local & state court forms that pull the information from the client matter and add it to the documents for you. They can also create your own documents for you. For example, if there is a certain letter or form that you use, they will create it.
It is also very easy to e-file documents with the integration of Info Track. I am looking forward to other implementations of integrations with other products in the near future. It is so nice having one program that you use for emails, calendar, case management, and e-filing.
Pros
I love that SB is able to be integrated with other programs that we already use, for example Family Law Software.
Cons
The fact that if an email is sent to more than one of us in the office, it does save both emails in the client matter. I wish it would just save one to make finding emails easier.

I highly recommend Smokeball to any law firm looking for a way to consolidate numerous software programs into one comprehensive system. It has increased my productivity by at least 30%! Being able to move between Word, Outlook, Smokeball and interoffice correspondence is seamless. Plus, the support team is extremely knowledgeable and wonderful to work with - response time on issues is fantastic!! We've been using the system for only a couple of months and don't know how we functioned without it!
