What is DineTime Host?
DineTime Host is a mobile front of house solution which enables restaurants to manage reservations, waitlists, tables, and serving staff, and view real-time trends and analytics. The system is suitable for restaurants of all sizes, from single-unit operators to large-scale chains.
DineTime’s electronic reservation book (ERB) software allows users to manage all desktop, mobile, and call-in reservations in one place, with the built-in Availability Plan to prevent overbooking by setting reservation pace. The reservation software can also be used to track guest information including names, phone numbers, and email addresses, and integrates with loyalty programs to provide additional information and guest opportunities. Diners can be added to the wait list by staff, or join directly through the DineTime customer app on their smartphone. Estimated wait times, two-way text messaging, and real-time data let staff keep diners updated on their position in the wait list. Additionally, the companion app allows customers to find restaurants, make reservations, and modify their bookings.
With DineTime, users can create custom floor plans, assign servers to stations, organize shifts, and automatically or manually manage staff rotations. DineTime can be integrated with a range of kitchen automation solutions, point of sale (POS) systems, online ordering and delivery services, and more through the restaurant reservation API. Users can view and analyze real-time and historical data to assess their restaurant’s performance, view daily operational summaries, and run reports on sales, reservations, quote accuracy, and more.

Absolutely Amazing for our operation!

DineTime
DineTime is an effective table management system, and has replaced our pagers with text messages to guests, which everyone prefers. It can take submissions from the DineTime app and from our company's website, and has proven an effective and reliable solution.

Pros
The ability to handle waitlist, call aheads, and reservation with one solution. DineTime gets us seen by more diners and allows are current diners to make reservations from the DineTime App!
Cons
We use the cloud based solution. So lag time on table updates and redundency has been the only issues that we have had, but those are few and far in between. I would like to see Day part cover count on the floor chart screen if possible.

Pros
The software fulfills our needs for hosts and bussers, and integrates with our Kitchen Display systems for easy management.
Cons
product is still in development, and we are waiting on a few features to be added, but its fully featured at present, and we are satisfied with the current functionality.

Pros
The setup for messaging and scheduling is fairly intuitive and easy to pick up.
Cons
The website reservation widgets do not function properly when your have many on a page, say for a list of different outlets where you want to shoot a reservation widget for each. We found a work around but this should have been easier.

Pros
We love not having to use pagers and the ability to text our guests especially at locations in a mall setting makes for a better waiting experience. The chit also shares info about the guest or reason for visiting such as birthday or graduation and enables us to cater to their celebrations.
Cons
We feel there should be a better way to run a shift change aside from changing the floor plan and wiping out existing data. Same for phase maps. We also would like to have more control over text content and have the ability to make text messages unique by location.
Typically very good. Back end could be more streamlined to find information.
Pros
Ease of use on the front end. Little to no staff training is required because of how straightforward it is. Price/value when compared to competitors.
Cons
Some functions and features on the back end that don't seem to work on the front. Minor features but I wish they were removed if not available (require CC, different options etc.)
