Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Cloud-based PDF reader for viewing and editing PDF documents

About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a cloud-based software designed to help businesses view, sign, and annotate PDF documents from desktops, browsers, or mobile devices. Using the fill & sign tool, administrators can automatically detect multiple fields across forms, add texts, symbols, or signatures, and store them in Adobe Document Cloud for future reference.

Using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, enterprises can create customizable forms by adding various elements such as drop-down lists, barcodes, digital signature fields, list boxes, and more. Managers can utilize the drag-and-drop interface to add Adobe Sign fields in PDF documents and send completed forms to specific recipients via emails or internal servers such as SharePoint or network folders. The software also helps users integrate JavaScript language with multiple documents, enabling them to configure forms and connect it with several databases via Open Database Connection (ODBC).

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC allows businesses to edit PDF documents by highlighting, striking off, or underlining specific texts and adding comments or notes in the source file. Administrators can also convert and export PDF files in various formats including Word, Excel, or rich text format (RTF).

Highest Quality PDF Software, But Pricey!

I have been using Acrobat for years now. There are many uses for the software and it's hands down the best on the market. I've tried other PDF software, but they no where near compare to Acrobat in terms of functionality nor quality. I use it for everything from printing thermal shipping labels, editing PDFs, scanning documents and converting to OCR, and signing documents. The possibilities really are endless.

Pros

My absolute most favorite thing about Adobe Acrobat is the OCR scan function. I use my desktop scanner to scan in documents and the OCR function is able to accurately convert the document into readable, searchable, and editable text. I scan probably 2,000 pages of documents every month, so this definitely comes in handy when I want to go back later and find a particular document by searching for a couple keywords or particular content. Another one of my favorite things is the ability to edit any PDF. I can remove text/images, combine documents, sign pages, etc.

Cons

I have the professional version of Acrobat, so it does get a bit pricey. Adobe now gives you access to the software by charging a flat monthly or annual rate for a 1-year license. Previously, you could just buy the software outright. The only benefit to paying for an annual license is that you never have to worry about the software being outdated or bug-ridden. With Acrobat being the best PDF software on the market, I sort of see the cost-factor as something that's practically inevitable.

Adobe Reader - A good PDF reader

Adobe Reader currently does not meet my needs anymore, as it only provides simple tools.

A long time ago I used the software only for viewing documents, but over time and the need to manipulate PDF documents forced me to abandon Adobe Reader, and use another PDF reader.

Its lack of more useful tools made the software suitable for basic users.

Pros

Adobe Reader DC is a reasonable software for manipulating PDF files, with few tools available in the free version.

In order to have access to more premium tools, it is necessary to subscribe to the paid versions, so we can access the conversion tools for other formats such as Word, Excel and Jpeg, gather documents, edit texts, protect and sign documents.

The program is lightweight and runs smoothly on more modest machines such as dual core processors with 2GB of RAM.

In general, the software is only usable for more domestic users in its simple version, and it is not possible to run more professional tools.

The observed positive points are:

- Lightness, as it can run on machines with few hardware resources;
- Simplicity of use for home users, who only need to view documents.

Cons

The absence of better tools becomes a major negative point.

In many cases, where we want to make a simple note is not possible, just using the highlighter is not enough, joining files is also not possible, so the software for me has become obsolete.

The big negative point is:

- Absence of more complete tools, not suitable for more advanced users;

The benefits of utilizing Adobe Acrobat Reader DC application include being able to operate across hardware such as Windows 10 or Mac Sierra. Other benefits include interfacing of other software applications such as Microsoft One Drive or DropBox. Additional benefits include being able to utilize Adobe Acrobat Reader DC conveniently with the Adobe Scan mobile application uploading files as well as transferring to electronic files. Moreover, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC benefits consist of creating standard PDF files. Overall, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a great tool that assist with the collaboration of data amongst colleagues.

Pros

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC offers document management with various tools and options. With options to comment on documents, electronically sign a document, or organize pages, document management is made simple with a downloadable software application. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a windows application that allows users to add text to PDF file type documents. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a great tool to collaborate with colleagues creating manuals, booklets, or pamphlets. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC gives users the ability to add hyperlinks to documents and add various special characters to authorize documents for human resources personnel.

Cons

Limited options may vary depending on the type of subscription of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC registered user. Limited organizational tools are available depending on the subscription type of the end user. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC connects other accounts to access files. Combine files is not available with the basic account type. The action wizard nor send for comments is available with a standard subscription, which limits the options for editing documentation.

The classic reliable office program for daily use at home and at work.

The classic reliable office program for daily use at home and at work.

Pros

How long I have been using Adobe Reader I cannot say for sure. It seems that she was always with me while I was using my personal computer. The program does not require much space, which is also important for me. The interface is understandable for a novice user and it is free software. You can insert all sorts of graphic notes, signatures, notes and comments.

Cons

Reader does not save the appearance and position of panels with layers, additional tools. I couldn't find these settings. The program is in RAM when the Windows system starts up. The module at startup can be disabled manually.
