I am able to use twitter to create posts about my jewelry and other business sales etc. It has helped me get my name out there without paying a lot of money for advertisements.
Fast and user-friendly
I love it. I've met some awesome people there who have helped me with my business. It somehow gives me the impression that it's easier to get noticed on Twitter than on Facebook.
Not for me
I don't prefer it. It really isn't necessary to have Twitter to be a relevant online brand. There are enough alternatives to where you can skip this one and still be just fine as a social media presence.

Pros
Twitter can be used for a number of things both for your company but also for personal use. It is a lot of fun to keep track of your favorite celebrity or other businesses you may or may not be using. You are able to learn new things with Twitter. It is easy to use and easy read. I highly recommend using twitter.
Cons
You have to go look for your favorite places, people and things to read more about them. It can be a bit difficult to pick your way through the nonsense if you are not use to using this app. I recommend learning how to use this app before just diving in. You will get lost pretty quickly.
Twitter - The pros and cons of the better social network
Pros
In a world dominated by Facebook owned properties, it is great to have a platform like Twitter. As a social network/social media app, there are many things that stand out about Twitter, here is my list of pros, I will have to compare it to the biggest social network:
1) Interesting learning curve - if you come from other social media platforms, Twitter may seem confusing at first but once you learn how to use it, you discover that it actually makes sense. The learning curve is difficult at first, but once you learn to use 280 characters, it will revolutionize how you use other platforms. That alone is worth trying it out.
2) Twitter's advertising platform is easier to use than Facebook. Its easy and intuitive to set up ads based on Tweets that are popular (which is the holy grail to social media advertising), budgeting and targeting is fairly easy too.
3) The real time nature of Twitter is better than the algorithms used by other platforms, this makes it ideal to follow news, events and information in real time and also for businesses to share information with their customer base.
Cons
There are only a few cons to Twitter at the moment
1) Editing Posts/Tweets the inability to edit tweets or posts after you have posted them is a huge con especially if you are a business or use it for PR.
2) Mobile support - Twitter's own apps do not have great mobile versions. Aside from Tweetdeck, there are very few alternatives to the main Twitter app that are worth using. With the limitation of the API, you are left with very few choices for mobile apps.
Fast and user-friendly
I love it. I've met some awesome people there who have helped me with my business. It somehow gives me the impression that it's easier to get noticed on Twitter than on Facebook.
Pros
The simplicity of the app is what I like the most. It's easy to learn and use. You can make friends online really fast, stay up to date with the latest news even if you're not that interested in news, and grow a list of followers faster than with other social media apps like Facebook.
You can make the account private which means your tweets will be visible to you and those you allow to see your tweets, or you can make it public and maybe become popular if one of your tweets goes viral. However, people must be careful what they post publicly. A simple tweet can cause a ruckus.
Twitter also includes some very useful functions like blocking accounts, ignoring retweets for certain accounts, ignoring an account while still remaining a follower. Thankfully, those accounts are not being notified when you do any of the things I've mentioned.
The interface is great. You can select from a list of colors the color of your account, select font size and also has night mode.
Cons
I'd really like if they added the option to sort your followers by date, and also the option to create a list of the accounts you're most interested in.
Not for me
I don't prefer it. It really isn't necessary to have Twitter to be a relevant online brand. There are enough alternatives to where you can skip this one and still be just fine as a social media presence.
Pros
I like the ability to connect with others, promote events and activities, provide links to external sites (this is useful for fundraising organizations or if you want to direct people to your website/blog/news page). I like that in the past couple of years they gave users more control over blocking and reporting inappropriate behavior on the platform.
Cons
The users. There are a lot of "bots" on Twitter (not real people, computers designed to harass, troll, and tweet out the garbage) that add negativity and distract from connecting with real users. I also hate the online troll community that seems to get its kicks from bashing/hating on others, and users that use the software to spread hate, fear, anger, and overall toxicity. Unfortunately, the platform has not done a great job of ensuring that online harassment is controlled under the guise of free speech.
Great app, full of Bots
Pros
I like that twitter created a "dark mode" to make scrolling through the timeline at night easier without using the blue light filter.
Cons
Hate that there are so many people who create fake accounts to troll or basically down someone or create drama. Seems like Twitter is very easy to hack as well. A bunch of scammers and con artists who takes names and likeness from other companies and prey on the desperate and less fortunate.
