About WhatsApp

WhatsApp is a customer communications management software that helps businesses of all sizes create product catalogs and respond to customers’ messages or queries in real-time. The software provides end-to-end encryption to secure chats, voice messages, images, audio/video calls, and more.

Businesses can utilize the platform to capture and share images, audios, videos, and documents including spreadsheets, slideshows, and PDFs with customers on individual or group levels. The platform integrates with an address book in the device, allowing individuals to share current or live locations with other WhatsApp users, set customizable wallpapers, add profile pictures, choose notification sounds, and more. It also enables administrators to synchronize messages across various devices and automate back-up of chat history or ongoing conversations in the cloud.

The solution lets managers send automated messages to customers and process payments or transactions between financial accounts. WhatsApp also allows professionals to broadcast messages and receive information when the intended customer has read the message.

This software is very easy to use and doesn't consume too much space in my phone. The software is very stable and i have never experience system crash from this software.

Pros

WhatsApp only need internet connection for sending text to my contact list or having video call with any other money charges. The quality for the video audio for the video call is in High Definition(HD) and i am very happy with it. Many of my colleague is using this software, so we have choose it as our alternative communication hub.

Cons

What i like the least is, this software will compress and downgrade the picture quality that I sent to others with no option to sent it in the original quality. Other than that, the recovery process is quite confusing and i have not successfully recover all my chat history to my new phone.

I consider WhatsApp to be my number 1 messaging platform because my company is able to save a lot of money whenever we use WhatsApp. We are able to provide an amazing customer support to all our clients without any problems. We are also able to easily manage our WhatsApp from our computer desktop, which improve our speed of work and efficiency.

Pros

WhatsApp is very economical to use, and it has a very friendly-user interface.

Cons

WhatsApp videos usually requires a stable internet connection, and quality can be affected by network conditions

Pros

Simple exchange of ideas regular communication with individuals Privacy Configurations The ability to share files and make video calls.Simple to use, end-to-end encryption, and easy sharing of photographs and files.

Cons

Software abuse due to inadequate security.
Amazed at how hackers easily target and infiltrate people’s account.

Good product for personal use, but not so much for business use ... yet

We started using WhatsApp to have another form of communication for our international students;...

We started using WhatsApp to have another form of communication for our international students; however, we quickly realized that it created a significant amount of extra work for our representatives after they had a conversation with students. We also realized that the communication with our students was subpar (think abbreviations with texting), so when working with a group where english is their second language, this turned into a challenging conversation for our team (especially since our programs are all exclusively in english). This would be a great option for a smaller company who didnt need to verify english language competency and/or who wanted a quick way of communicating with customers and didnt need to record the conversations (ie. take notes and put them in a CRM).

Pros

Easy for personal use on a phone. Has a good interface on desktop and phone. Pretty quick to message back and a good option for smaller companies looking for free options for communicating with clients and/or international folks. Good option for those who are overseas that dont have a phone option to call if you dont have any other options in your company for this purpose.

Cons

Easy to use on a personal level, but not efficient enough for business use. Need a specific phone/line for business use and doesnt have an easy/efficient way to transfer info into a CRM or any type of contact repository (especially for notes). Doesn't look very professional and is difficult to have more professional conversations through a texting format, especially with students and international students.

We are using WhatsApp in my work, for daily communications, meetings, and announcements. This helps us reach out to our supervisor and colleagues anytime.

Pros

What I like the most in WhatsApp is that we can reach people even if they are far away, and this is also helpful for daily communications in work and with your relatives, for free. Personal information is protected as it requires the mobile number of the user.

Cons

There is actually nothing to dislike about WhatsApp.
