About Sublime Text

Sublime Text is an application development software that helps businesses manage code refactoring, debugging, multi-monitor editing, syntax highlighting, and more from within a unified platform. It allows staff members to utilize the auto-completion functionality to generate code suggestions and automatically provide links to definitions.

Sublime Text enables administrators to dark or light user interface (UI) and configures multi-tab select functionality to manage navigation between sidebars, Goto Anything, Goto Definition, and other tabs. The syntax highlighting engine allows users to manage non-deterministic grammars, laze embeds, syntax inheritance, and multi-line constructs. My go to code and text editor

I've worked with source code since 2013, starting with Sublime Text 2 back in the day. While some other options are good for some things, I've always found Sublime to be the one that gets most of the stuff done in a better, faster way.

Pros

Sublime is fast, like blazing fast. I usually need to work with files that are a couple tens or hundreds of MB large. Besides opening them really fast, your normal operations like finding, selecting and replacing texts (with regex!) are also quite fast. Obviously, being multi-platform is a must that it fulfills quite well.

Cons

Some other editors have an easier time integrating third-party tools, like git tracking and extra toolbars / modules.

Alternatives Considered

Visual Studio Code

Reasons for Choosing Sublime Text

I needed a truly multi-platform solution that worked the same everywhere.

Switched From

Notepad++

Reasons for Switching to Sublime Text

I feel like Sublime is faster and less clunky. I don't like to have a lot of options on the screen if I don't need them.

Sublime Text is perfect when you need to find something or change something in the code in hurry. It allows smooth and easy to use experience. Pricing is great for all the functions covered under the hood.

Pros

It looks like a opposite things but Sublime is simple and also the robust code editor which provides some extended functions which make it close to IDE applications but it is much more smooth like them. The interface is simple and easy to use. You can choose form many programming languages supported for syntax highlighting. Under the hood Sublime provides powerful console where you are allowed to perform extended actions. For example code refactor or some code transformations are available. You can customize your instance installing plugins from repos.

Cons

Using the Sublime Text console can be a bit difficult and user has to learn how to use the actions.

Sublime Text editor is a great tool that might attract you with addiction

I began using Sublime when I first began studying web programming many years ago. I must admit that I adore it so much. I appreciate this text editor's software's compatibility. I used Sublime to learn Python, JavaScript, and Ruby. What struck me was that it did a lot of formatting and alignment in addition to highlighting the code's keywords. that really increased my ability to read and troubleshoot codes. Plus, I personally like how it looks against a dark background. As an Oracle DBA now, I continue to love Sublime because it works so well with Java and PL SQL. As you may know, SQL can be incredibly complex and time-consuming to read and understand.something else I love Wonderful is that, you never need to stress over loss of any items except if you erase them deliberately. Everytime I open it, it actually shows me each tab I made and altered.

Pros

it is compatible with TON of computer programming languages. and it helps highlight the key words, reformat the language alignment and make everything look neat and easy readingand it always restores what was last changed

Cons

as a DBA, I work a lot with Java and PLSQL on sublime.with SQL, it highlights a lot of KEY words but sometimes it does not highlight the right ones. but it still does a good job to me.
