> **Pros**: The best part of NextGen is the ability to customize the templates and documents. With some knowledge of SQL and Crystal Reports, we can get meaningful and actionable reports.

> **Cons**: The recent acquisition by Thoma Bravo led to the culling of many experienced support technicians and has slowed the progress of assimilating NextGen's previous acquisitions, like Medfusion's Patient Portal. Their support seems to have been mostly outsourced to inexperienced technicians in India.

I'll be honest having used EPIC at a side gig I Have been working, I didn't realize how much more clicking there was in nextgen.

> **Cons**: If you are hosted by NextGen there are some issues with lag as we are a small client and we are on a leveraged server with other clients.   Q\&A is lacking on the product as they rush to push out features to fast breaking features at least once or twice a year.

> Over all Nextgen Enterprise is a solid choice for a big practice.  They scope of tools and options make them a prefect out of the box choice to drive your A/R well under the 18 days.  We have been under the 14 days after a year on the product.
