If you are thinking of buying the latest version - read on and be aware that the customer support is appalling. I can only assume some of the positive reviews were paid for. I will be happy to delete or update this review if my experience changes rapidly - buildsoft \!\! > > **Cons**: Everything so far - company paid for a standalone licence some time ago and didn't use the software much. (New employee - me) has recently tried to move the software and licence to a new pc and it just won't run - apparently some sort of database problem related to "PostgreSQL". Cubit refuse to assist in solving the problem until we give them another €1900+ > > Don't go anywhere near them - there are much more cost effective options with better customer service available and this is their standard response to emails: "I’m unable to assist you with this issue since your Cubit licence is not covered under software support." Regardless of the version you should be able to run software on a new machine without requiring help from support \!\!\! There average rating from a few reviews is lower than other estimating software with hundreds of reviews. I'm sorry I really can't say anything positive about Cubit or Buildsoft. Accurate estimates that minimise waste on site reduces costs as I can now produce accurate Estimate Tenders for my clients, essentially I pay my trades only for materials installed. Cubit is a massive time saver, imagine taking off all the bathroom tiling and the contents of the bathroom in less than 3 minutes? Yes, with the Options feature I can do it, time and time again after creating a Template. If you're not using Cubit you're wasting time, money and family time.
