## Overview

### Key benefits of Evaluat

Measure what your customers actually experience:

Server response time is not page load time. Evaluat reports the same Core Web Vitals that Google scores you on and that your customers feel: LCP, INP, CLS, FCP; captured by a real browser under real concurrency. Not extrapolated from HTTP timings.

Find the third-party tag that breaks at scale:

Analytics, A/B testing, consent management, chat widgets, marketing tags. They run in browsers, not on your servers. They block the main thread. They inflate LCP. An HTTP-level load test literally cannot see them. Evaluat measures them by definition.

Debug in an hour, not a week:

When something fails for 14 sessions out of 42,000, aggregate percentiles won't help you. Evaluat keeps every session individually addressable: watch the video, read the console output, inspect the network waterfall, see which step failed and which selector it was looking for. The root cause is usually visible in under a minute.

Trust the numbers:

Most browser-based load testing tools share a browser across many simulated users, because it's cheaper to run. That means the contention you're measuring isn't real, and your numbers come out optimistic. Production then surprises you. Evaluat runs one isolated browser per virtual user — its own memory, its own CPU, its own cache, its own cookies, its own network stack.

Build once, run everywhere:

A scenario you record for a 5,000-user load test is the same scenario that runs as a 30-second smoke test in CI and as a 5-minute production monitor. No duplicate maintenance, no drift between what you test pre-release and what you monitor after.

Stop fighting cookie banners:

Cookie consent is the single biggest source of friction in browser-based load testing. Every scenario starts with "dismiss the banner"; until the banner moves, changes its selector, or A/B-tests a variant, and every scenario in your suite breaks at once. Popup handlers are defined once at the project level and apply automatically to every test.

Test with realistic traffic:

Datasets give each virtual user its own data: different UTM parameters, different search terms, different product IDs. Cache effects can't mask a real performance problem when no two users follow the same path.

Test the conditions that matter:

Region, timezone, locale, viewport, and user pacing are all configurable per test. A Dutch e-commerce site tested with the nl\_NL locale, Europe/Amsterdam timezone, and 5–10 second waits between actions produces numbers that mean something. A test running from the wrong region at bot speed does not.

Validate releases before they ship:

Compare two test runs side by side. If LCP regressed 400ms after this deploy, you see it before your customers do.

Ready for peak:

Run your real checkout journey at 10x normal concurrency a month before Black Friday. Find what breaks at 2,000 users while there's still time to fix it.

No scripting required:

Scenarios are built visually, step by step. Your QA team can maintain them without learning a testing DSL or writing JavaScript.

Every virtual user in an Evaluat test runs in its own isolated browser instance; a full browser with its own memory, CPU, cache, cookies, and network stack. Nothing is shared between users, so the contention you measure is the contention your customers will hit.\n\nWhy real browsers:\n\nTraditional load testing tools operate at the HTTP layer. They send raw requests and measure how fast the server responds. They don't parse HTML, execute JavaScript, render CSS, or run third-party tags. That's fine for an API. For a user-facing application, it answers the wrong question.\n\nA 50ms TTFB doesn't help if your LCP image takes 4 seconds because three analytics tags are blocking the main thread at 800 concurrent users. Evaluat measures what the browser measures, because Evaluat is running browsers.\n\nWhat's in a report:\n\nEvery performance test produces five views:\n\nOverview: aggregate metrics across the run. Total users, total sessions, failed sessions, error rates, and percentile-selectable time-series charts for every Web Vitals.\n\nURL Performance: every URL hit during the test, with its own Web Vitals, hit count, status distribution, and full timing breakdown (DNS lookup, TTFB, FCP, LCP, CLS, INP, page load).\n\nSessions: every virtual user's session is individually addressable. Video recording, step-by-step playback with the CSS selector targeted at each step, scenario context, duration, network bytes transferred, pass/fail status.\n\nConsole Logs: every browser console message from the run, deduplicated with counts, attributed to the page URL that produced it. Errors, warnings, traces, JavaScript exceptions, resource load failures.\n\nNetwork Logs: every HTTP request from every user. Method, URL, status, timing, size, MIME type, originating page. Filterable and sortable across millions of rows.\n\nMetrics captured:\n\nCore Web Vitals: Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), First Contentful Paint (FCP).\n\nNavigation Timing API: DNS lookup, TCP connect, TLS negotiation, Time to First Byte (TTFB), response time, DOM content loaded, page load.\n\nAll metrics available at p50, p75, p90, p95, p99, and max; per run, per URL, and per session.\n\nHow tests are built:\n\nTest Scenarios: reusable recordings of a user journey. Navigate, click, fill, wait. Each step targets a CSS selector and reports pass/fail at runtime. Scenarios are decoupled from tests, so one scenario runs in a 1,000-user load test, a deployment smoke test, and a scheduled monitor.\n\nDatasets: tables of variable data injected into scenarios at runtime. 1,000 users drawing from 1,000 rows means 1,000 different UTM combinations, search terms, or product IDs. Prevents cache effects from masking real performance problems.\n\nPopup Handlers: project-level rules that dismiss cookie banners, consent dialogs, and modals automatically across every scenario. Define once, apply everywhere. Your scenarios stay focused on the journey.\n\nTest Plans: combine scenarios with weighted distribution (must total 100%), set the load shape, and run.\n\nConfiguration:\n\nLoad mode: Duration (target concurrency for a set time) or Sessions (run until N sessions complete).\nTraffic shape: independent ramp-up, steady-state, and ramp-down durations. Minimum ramp rates enforced to keep load realistic.\nRegion: choose where your virtual users originate.\nTimezone and locale: match the audience segment you're modelling.\nScreen size: from mobile through to 1920×1080 and above.\nSpeed: configurable wait times between actions to model real user pacing rather than bot-speed clicking.\n\nWhat Evaluat doesn't do:\n\nNo API testing. No gRPC, WebSocket, or MQTT protocol testing. Evaluat tests user-facing applications with real browsers. If you need API load testing, k6 or JMeter are a better fit; most teams run both.","image":"https://gdm-catalog-fmapi-prod.imgix.net/ProductScreenshot/cc2b2e55-153c-4101-bbdf-2e536a48d01a.jpeg","url":"https://www.getapp.ie/software/2101742/evaluat","@id":"https://www.getapp.ie/software/2101742/evaluat#software","@type":"SoftwareApplication","applicationCategory":"BusinessApplication","publisher":{"@id":"https://www.getapp.ie/#organization"},"operatingSystem":"Cloud"},{"@id":"https://www.getapp.ie/software/2101742/evaluat#breadcrumblist","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"name":"Home","position":1,"item":"/","@type":"ListItem"},{"name":"Performance Testing Tools","position":2,"item":"/directory/1299/performance-testing/software","@type":"ListItem"},{"name":"Evaluat","position":3,"item":"/software/2101742/evaluat","@type":"ListItem"}]}]}
