Core

Core is a complete intranet, not an entry tier. It includes 30+ web parts, branded site and page templates, the branding customiser with sub-branding for multi-brand businesses, the people directory, structured handbooks and files explorer, targeted news and alerts, audience targeting through your existing Entra ID groups, app launcher, welcome bar, polls, accordions, content scheduling, page feedback, multilingual support, Microsoft Clarity analytics and the Teams app for desktop and mobile.

Configuration video guides for every web part are included, so comms and HR teams are self-sufficient from day one.

Premium apps

Premium apps are enterprise-grade extensions, licensed separately: AI search, push notifications, subscriptions, noticeboard, site index and site provisioning.

Premium is not an upgrade to Core. Buy Premium apps alongside Core, or as standalone additions to an existing SharePoint intranet with no Core license at all. Add them individually at any point.

One thing to plan for: AI search may require additional Azure resources, scoped with your IT team during setup. That cost sits in your own Azure subscription rather than your Lightspeed365 license.

Perpetual licence. A one-time purchase. You licence the current version of Lightspeed365 Core at your purchase date and keep it indefinitely, with support and maintenance included for the first 12 months. Feature releases published and support after that date are not included. 

Annual subscription. Includes every new web part, feature release and product update for as long as the subscription runs, with support throughout.

Most businesses choose subscription. Perpetual is most common in public sector and regulated environments where a capital purchase or a fixed, validated version is a requirement.

Employee count bands
Licensed per tenant and banded by employee count. Price is set by band, not per user, so cost does not change as headcount moves within a band.

Included with every license
Installation, configuration documentation, configuration video guides for every web part, and a customer success call.

Implementation is optional
Businesses with internal SharePoint skills buy the license, swap native web parts for ours, apply branding and go live in around a week.
