## Overview

### Key benefits of Open CPD

\* Allows providers to accredit a course and issue the first certificate on the same day, with no application process or waiting period, reducing time-to-launch for new training programmes.
\* Generates permanent, tamper-proof verification URLs on every certificate, giving employers, professional bodies, and auditors an independent, login-free method to confirm learner achievements.
\* Keeps provider branding prominent on all certificates and badges, with the platform appearing only as a powered-by attribution, supporting brand consistency across all issued credentials.
\* Charges only for certificates issued rather than applying flat annual fees, aligning costs directly to issuance volume and avoiding overhead for low-volume or seasonal providers.
\* Provides double credits to UK charities, reducing the per-certificate cost for not-for-profit organisations operating on restricted budgets.
\* Supports bulk certificate issuance via CSV upload, allowing full cohorts to receive credentials in a single action rather than through individual issuance.
\* Integrates with LMS platforms and Zapier to automate certificate issuance, reducing manual administration after course completion events.
\* Includes co-branding and partnership templates, enabling a partner's name and logo to be added per course or across a shared template for multi-organisation delivery arrangements.
\* Generates Open Badge 2.0 digital badges that are portable, machine-readable, and shareable on LinkedIn, CVs, and email signatures, extending learner credential visibility beyond the issuing platform.
\* Includes a CPD Readiness Scorecard that checks course Aims, Skills, Outcomes, and CPD points against best practice before certificates are issued, supporting structural quality assurance.
\* Provides CPD Genie, an integrated AI tool that reads a course description and produces a structured draft of Aims, Skills, and Outcomes specific to that course; providers review, edit, and confirm every suggestion before it appears on any certificate, retaining full editorial control.
\* Issues credentials that support learner revalidation portfolios, funder impact reporting, compliance audit trails, and LinkedIn profile visibility, covering multiple downstream use cases from a single issuance action.
\* Rolls over unused subscription credits monthly and sets a 12-month credit validity window, giving providers flexibility to manage issuance across variable training schedules.
