Litmos learning can exist anywhere it needs to and there’s no training program that Litmos can’t handle. It is meant as much for non-employee learners as it is for internal employees and is designed from ground-up with learners’ experience and admin ease of use in mind.
We support 28 languages and have a lot of international customers. We also own and build our own content through Litmos Heroes and Learning Seats acquisitions, and currently have over 2500 courses on healthcare, HR, OSHA, sales and marketing, leadership, and more.
Litmos is well liked by both learners as well as admins and currently holds commanding positions (publicly verifiable) on both the awards tally and customer satisfaction fronts. The platform can be quickly implemented, and it is very easy to build and track completions and compliance, thereby providing faster time to value.
A lot of manual and tedious tasks in Litmos are automated with built-in assignment engine, role-based security, and bulk uploads. Video Assessments, Boost and multiple flavors of notifications provide an additional flair by allowing learners to upload videos in real-time, reinforce learning with bite-sized nuggets of knowledge after a learning event, and stay updated with various system based or custom notifications.
Pros
Litmos has a very clean user interface, and loading course materials and SCORM packages are simple.
Cons
No central content repository, limited access to style sheets for custom design elements. It's an expensive platform, to begin with but feel nickeled and dimed with many recent features coming with individual price tags, and it feels like recent updates are showing Litmos a bit out of touch with advancing needs of LMS users, especially users who train external clients and students.

Rollercoaster, sometimes they're spot on and have the features we need, other times it takes forever to get a known problem taken care of.
If I could go back and re-select an LMS, I wouldn't choose Litmos.
Pros
• Allows you to distribute material on a mass basis and track who has and who has not completed
• Learning Paths allow you to group a series of Courses together to assign 1,000's of modules at a time easily
• Modules can have embedded capability to allow you to perform tasks that the LMS does not have built-in
• API integration allows you perform useful tasks that Litmos does not have built in.
Cons
• The Support takes FOREVER to get anything done, even when it is a program glitch, at the time of writing this review I have been waiting 6 months for a fix to a problem that they have identified as a flaw and just have not fixed. This flaw has been debilitating to our Training Program with Litmos.
• Cheating is easy on built-in assessments. When completing assessments on a computer the user can just right-click and go back and re-submit the correct answer. Litmos said they would NOT disable the back-button.
• Learning Paths are the only level of organization that they allow, it would be nice to have "Sub-Learning Paths".
• Reports are still "meh", even after the reporting update. Thankfully there is API integration which allows us to make our own reports from the information on Litmos.

Pros
At my company, we use Litmos and I administer the exams and update the content. It has been great moving to this solution as we have increased user engagement due to the design interface, easy navigation and test/quiz setup. I love the reporting features. There are many reporting options that you can customize and then save for quick report runs. Creating exams is easy by using a spreadsheet (csv) template file saving you time. Making changes and adding unique features like randomizing the questions, adding certificates for completion and custom course images make Litmos LMS the go to solution for our training department.
Cons
Manual grading of short answer questions should be done via an email notification of those specific questions to make it easier to grade more efficiently.

We started with a very complicated LMS that we did not love at all. When our contract was up, we went searching for something else. We can across Litmos and it seemed to be just what we were looking for: simplified, easy-to-use, but does all the same things that our old LMS could do. So we went for it, and we haven't regretted it since!
Pros
It's incredibly user-friendly and gets the job done. It has many functions and helps makes the training processes fun.
Cons
Some functionality is limited, but Litmos is constantly working to add in features.
I spent several months searching for the right LMS for our company and the answer was Litmos! It is so user friendly for both the admin and the learner.

Right now there are 1 or 2 small bugs with one feature of their site (Learning Paths) but I know their IT team is working hard to fix the problem!

Using the Litmos LMS course builder, training administrators can build their own online courses. Embedded content creation tools support multiple formats. Litmos LMS’s course builder is designed in the same way people think, with three main category types: upload, create, and browse.
Upload your own content from outside Litmos, including any videos, SCORM, or audio files you plan to include in your course. In the Create section, you’ll be able to generate Litmos formatted content, including assessments, ILT, and surveys. Finally, use the Browse section to find and copy content from your account into new courses.
Giving learners a course library provides them with a way to browse, search, and self-enroll in online courses. Learners who click on the course library will be able to see all the courses they have access to, including courses they have already completed. Learners should also be able to sign-up for additional online courses from within the course library.
As the training administrator, you have the option to add new courses to your library at any time. You can add any course to the course library by clicking on the “Settings” tab in the “Courses” area of your account. Common examples of courses added to company libraries include product demos, optional professional development courses, and advanced information on topics that are covered in mandatory online courses.
Reporting tools allow training administrators to review the performance of their learners and gain deeper insights into how their training programs are impacting employee development efforts. In addition to traditional reports, users also have the ability to create custom reports and have them delivered via email.
Visit the Reports tab to get access to real-time results and stay on top of the progress of individual trainees. All reporting information can be exported as PDF or CSV files. Reports should also include date ranges, which means you can select specific periods of time to pull data from when generating your reports.
Gamification features within Litmos LMS help training administrators engage and motivate their learners. In doing this, administrators must rely on achievements, points, and badges, which are awarded based on a learner’s activity within the system.
To take advantage of gamification, you’ll need to enable the feature and create badges or points for your organization. Determine what your learners will need to accomplish in order to earn each badge, and Litmos LMS will handle the implementation. Learners will continue taking courses as usual, and Litmos will distribute points and badges automatically. Learners can see the badges they’ve earned by clicking on the “Achievements” tab.
Litmos LMS integrates with a number of third-party applications, including Shopify, TribeHR, Dropbox, Okta Identity Management, Box, and Salesforce App Cloud.
