Mindbody is an all-in-one software solution for businesses within the fitness and wellness industry. The platform offers tools for client scheduling, employee management, marketing, payment processing, online booking, and more. Businesses such as fitness clubs, yoga studios, salons, and spas can manage availability, accept online bookings, check-in clients, and more from the Mindbody app. The platform helps businesses keep track of each employees' schedule and plan days accordingly.
New clients can find businesses using the Mindbody Connect app, and book services online through the app. Once a new client becomes a loyal regular, businesses can set up recurring billing and even have them join automated referral programs, to give them an incentive to invite friends.
Businesses can review and track key metrics within the Mindbody software, including revenue, sales, attendance, and client retention. This data can then be used to plan and execute marketing campaigns, bringing inactive clients back in with automated emails and text messages.
In order to aid with branding, businesses can even create a completely tailored mobile app with custom branding, so that clients receive the same familiar experience on their phones.

Super robust program, larger than what I need for my small business. Large learning curve, needed to be on support a lot. If I had employees and larger scale, would probably use it!
Pros
Solid platform, keeps booking/clients/memberships/payments all in one place. I really like the scheduling platform -- it does waitlists really well. Reporting options are thorough.
Cons
It's pricey and more robust than my small studio, so I ended up looking for more affordable options. But for a larger business this is probably perfect. Interface not as intuitive as other options.

Pros
Customer support is top notch. Easily available and works to understand your issue. There is always follow-up by email afterwards to recap the issue and solution.
Cons
I would like more features for appointments for therapists, like body drawings integrated into the charting.

Love the accessibility, also how easy it is to create and schedule classes. The Mindbody Capital is great as well.
Cons
When it comes to creating packages for monthly payments it seems to keep adding the initial sessions back to the package with every monthly payment

Mindbody registered my business name incorrectly despite clear instructions, and their onboarding deactivated appointment types, stopping me from processing client sessions. This disrupted my cash flow and caused major headaches. Support was useless, making the experience costly and frustrating. It feels like they just want your money. Do NOT sign up—no matter their mistakes, they refuse to let you cancel your subscription.
Pros
Nothing. For what it costs (minimum $269/month), the features are absolutely not worth it. My clients also complain about how the customer app is terrible to use.
Cons
Mindbody repeatedly made errors, like misregistering my business and deactivating appointments, preventing me from processing client sessions and disrupting cash flow. Support was unhelpful, making the experience frustrating and costly. No matter how many mistakes they make on their end, they refuse to cancel your lock-in contract. Overall, it feels like they just want your money—do NOT sign up.

For any class or appointment-based fitness studios, Mindbody is by far the most comprehensive software I've found. You can manage your staff & clients, collect member data, sell packages, track metrics, and even take payment in one tab on your browser. It's easy to use, customizable, and constantly improving.
Pros
I run a premium boutique fitness studio in Southern California and we switched to Mindbody about a year ago which has made our operations, reporting, and member onboarding faster, easier, and more efficient. Admin staff, coaches, and managers can use Mindbody with very little onboarding. The class and appointment management is simple and the notifications make it impossible to forget a client. Anytime I've needed help with something I can use the AI chatbot and if that doesn't have a useful answer it will send a ticket to their customer service who has always called me within a couple of hours.
Cons
Mindbody offers a marketing suite which is fairly new and could use some updates to make it more useful. It's not very user friendly and requires a third party track metrics.
