Miro has to be one of my favorite software discoveries in the past ten years. It has tremendous potential to change how you work and achieve productivity.

Pros

I love working with Miro solo but it's even better with a collaborator who really commits to making the most of the features that are available. It has made me feel so much more dynamic in my communication and collaboration.

Cons

Miro limits free accounts to just three boards so it's not as easy to attract new users as I would like to because people are less willing to learn a software that they can't use much on their own without paying for a subscription.

An array of tools and templates for specialized purposes make it simple to get started, and it's simple to find what you're looking for when you do. A fantastic user experience on every device, regardless of operating system, is ensured by being platform agnostic. It has allowed us to hold more successful seminars without depending on countless physical post-it notes, and to cooperate effectively while having a remote team and customer base.

Pros

Any product designer, UX designer, UI designer, or member of a remote design team should have a copy of Miro on hand. It's a great tool for design thinking, brainstorming, and whiteboarding. Their great templates will also assist any novice get started and hold fruitful meetings.

Cons

For freelancers on a tight budget, Miro might be prohibitively expensive. For established agencies, though, this is ideal. Even though a voting tool was recently added to the product, a wider range of interactive elements would help us better engage audiences and create better workshop experiences.

Comprehensive Miro Review

Reviewed on 8/2/2023

Overall, I was impressed with Miro and the impact it had on my team's collaboration and productivity. The software effectively solved complex project management and collaboration challenges, improved team productivity and communication, enabled efficient ideation and brainstorming sessions, improved visualization and organization of ideas, and enhanced remote collaboration and team engagement. I would definitely recommend Miro to other teams looking to improve their collaboration and project management processes.

Pros

◉ User-friendly interface: The interface was intuitive and easy to use, allowing me to quickly navigate the platform and find what I needed. I was able to create my first project in just a few minutes.◉ Versatile collaboration and brainstorming tools: The variety of tools available made it easy for my team to collaborate and come up with creative solutions. We were able to increase our team's ideation output by 25% in our first month of using Miro.◉ Seamless integration with other software: Miro integrated smoothly with the rest of my business processes, which saved me time and increased my team's overall efficiency by 20%.◉ Robust real-time collaboration features: The real-time collaboration features were a game-changer for my remote team. We were able to conduct virtual brain-storming sessions that felt just like in-person meetings and saw a 30% increase in team engagement.◉ High-quality templates and resources: The templates and resources available in Miro helped me get started quickly and saved me time compared to creating everything from scratch. I was able to create my first project in half the time it normally would have taken me.

Cons

◉ Limited customization options for templates: While the templates available in Miro were helpful, I wished for more customization options to better suit my specific needs. This was a minor issue for me but could be a larger concern for others.◉ Occasional lag in real-time collaboration: Although the real-time collaboration features were largely effective, I did experience some lag from time to time, which impacted the overall experience.◉ Steep learning curve for some users: Some team members found Miro to be overwhelming and had trouble getting up to speed. However, this was largely due to their prior lack of experience with similar software.◉ Need for a stable internet connection for optimal performance: Miro relies heavily on an internet connection for optimal performance, which could be an issue for those working in areas with limited connectivity.◉ Limited export options for certain file types: I found that Miro had limited export options for certain file types, which impacted my ability to share and access my projects outside of the platform.

I had an initial love affair with Realtimeboard and had a subscription since 2016/17. Growth and then VC funding last year together with the re-branding debacle are forcing me to re-think that love. It's been unrequited for the last while. :-( NPS scores

Pros

Easy to use, excellent real-time capabilities

Cons

Poor customer support & dishonesty. The change to Miro saw them stiff paid Premium users of Realtimeboard and not honour the remainder of their subscriptions
Slow pace of feature development
