GoFundMe (formerly known as CrowdRise) is an online fundraising tool for nonprofits, businesses, and events organizers with tools for social fundraising, event planning, ticketing, donations management, custom landing page building, and more. The cloud-based solution was built specifically for nonprofit and event fundraisers and can be used for organizing and collecting donations for runs, walks, cycles, and other charity events.

With solutions for online social fundraising, nonprofit event fundraising, nonprofit run, walk, and cycle fundraising, and peer-to-peer fundraising, GoFundMe aims to offer a tool to aid collaboration, participation, and giving. The social fundraising module facilitates the creation of branded and customized fundraising campaigns, which can be launched across social media platforms, email, SMS, and more to raise awareness. The SocialAmp sharing tool also optimizes posts and campaign pages to reach more people, and posts are mobile optimized so that viewers get the same experience from any device.

Fundraising pages can be set up and customized with company branding, logos, colors, images, and text, and pages can combine registration, donation giving, progress tracking, and more. A custom branded event page allows donors to make pledges, pay electronically, sign up for events, and access all information about the campaign. Participants can register for fundraising events, such as walks, runs, and cycles, as individuals or as teams, and leaderboards provide gamification for teams. CrowdRise integrates with third-party registration platforms including Eventbrite and Active.com in order to facilitate registrations, and CRM tools such as Salesforce can be connected for managing attendee and donor data.
